Really struggling with itching. I’m sure it’s the heat. I’m getting the really deep itch and the prickly/insect crawling itch. Lots of people have talked about canaboids and a gold spray. Do you know if it’s available in the uk?

Not sure which CBD you are after or which gold spray ? Two recommended sites for UK ( there are more but I can't think of them at the moment ) are CBD Brothers and Bud Utopia .

Bud Utopia have quite a few creams and lotions and don't be put off by the fact they are based in Spain , they have many UK customers and are recommended by the Facebook group CBD Consumer Group UK .

As I don't suffer from the dreaded itch I can't say if they work .

I use CBD oil to help me sleep and a balm from CBD Brothers for any skin complaint.

Good luck , I hope you find some relief.

ive always found heat makes it much worse...

ice on feet and hands as a short term relief.

just have a sheet on you rather than a duvet.

wear natural fibres e. g cotton... not synthetic...

go to bed with wet /damp hair it may keep you cooler longer.

lastly.. i found being less active the less the itch... not suggesting you should never do anything... but maybe try and have a few quiet few days...

oh and drink lots of water,

you've probably tried most of these.. but maybe worth a try if not....

best wishes cazer

I have the "itch" and it has been much worse with the unusually warm weather we are having in the UK. I am medicated by the hepatologist with Cholestyramine, when that did not work completely he added Rifampicin and then Sertraline. I also use a 2% menthol derma cream also on prescription but I think it can be bought over the counter or from Amazon. Your GP can help with antihistamines but I did not have much success with that. Many of us have the so called itch of PBC and have tried many solutions but I have not tried gold spray or canaboids.

I also had severe itching, by following Burt Berkson protocol and used a little cannabis oil, I’m hoping I under control (shhhhh).. Gold Bond Spray did work well during emergency. Cannibis Oil and CBD, does help sleep.

I started itching intensely after showering about 5 years ago and had "aquagenic pruritis" for about 2 years. Most people thought I was crazy but my pcp has aquagenic urticaria and so she believed me when I told her the symptoms. And it was always after a shower. That went away but I was left with a nighttime itch that keeps me awake. The aquagenic pruritic was worse because it felt like ant bites that burned and itched. Still itching all night isn't any fun either. No one ever suggested it was from a liver disorder despite slightly elevated lft. It wasn't until I had positive amas that I read about the itching symptoms caused by PBC. I use a scalp oil with a steroid . Cimetidine and loratadine keep me under control most of the time and I use gabapentin during the night if I get an attack.
