Sorry you have to be here. Welcome.

First thing to do is join the PBC foundation. Link at the top of the page.

Second- don't Google. Not yet anyway.

Educate yourself by reading the compendium from the PBC Foundation. It is easy to understand. You can ring them if you need advice. And it is free.

Where do you live? Which country?

Come back often. There are people on here who have lived a full life for many years with PBC who can help with questions and/or encouragement.

Regards

Hi LindyRich

I am in Queensland Australia,

I went to see the Doctor about a sore back (have lost 40 kilos over the last year from having a Gastric Bypass) and was wondering why my back was still so sore every day, so he did some blood tests and found that I have PBC, to late I've googled, but will wait to see what the specialist says

Much love to everyone

PBC Foundation is in the UK but anyone is welcome to join no matter which country they live in. It is really informative. It helps with questions to ask your doctors. Things you might not have thought of..

It would help when you see your specialist.

Keep in touch

Regards

Lindy

I just want to say, don't worry, and to second all the good advice given by others. Lindy's suggestion of joining the PBC Foundation is good, as their info is up-to-the minute, and although it is a UK-based help and support group, their help is worldwide, and they work in the closest harmony with the UK's (and they are respected, international figures) leading PBC specialists. They also recently published a summary of the latest official/formal document on PBC diagnosis - as the means and tests for the diagnosis of PBC can still be a bit patchy.

Hope this helps, above all don't worry, treat yourself and have fun: worry and stress are the worst for autoimmune conditions, so do things you love!

Take care,

Gritty
