The itching that feels like skin crawling.

I have always had issues with bruising but just in the past few weeks I have been getting bruises. Just last night I had the worst itching on the back of my left knee and I scratched it. It went red and then this morning I noticed the bruising.

I have not been diagnosed only with anemia and have to wait till the middle of February to have a followup blood test for the levels from the infusion I had last November.

This bruising I can handle when it is not visible but when it is there for all the world to see it makes me feel embarrassed. I am lucky the friends I have are not worried about it.

Other than that I think I am a healthy person. Just over this now...

Hello Elvenwishes

Are you new to the group, if you are welcome? I see this is your first post. Have you started Ursodeoxycholic Acid and how are your LFTs. I see you are waiting for a followup from last November so am assuming you have had some results.

I know that when I scratch the so called itch of PBC it can cause bruising but quite a few of us "itcher" break the skin. At least with your bruise on the leg you can wear trousers for a while.

best wishes
