Feeling pretty unhealthy right now

Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with pbc in Jan this year. I’m currently taking 500mg of ursine twice a day. Came as a bit of a shock as I didn’t feel ill but was found when I had blood tests to see if I was compatible to have HRT. My mum had pbc & died 2 months ago from it along with dementia.

I also have Raynaulds & under active thyroid too add to the mix. I was due to see my consultant in June but it was cancelled until September then when I went to hospital they told me my consultant had retired & had failed to notify me. So now I’m awaiting another appointment!

Anyway, over the last couple of months I have been feeling really rubbish. I’m getting lots of leg cramps, have bad pain in my shoulder & neck all the time, feel tired & have had a cough & cold that have knocked me sideways. Think my immune system is really struggling to cope at the moment. Any advice as to how I can help myself? X

You are doing the right thing as you are listening to your body and it is telling you it needs a bit of "me" time. Go back to what you have been through, the shock of being told you had PBC, your Mother`s death (sorry, I know how that feels) and the stress of the botched appointments at the hospital and an unfamiliar consultant. Then you had a cough and cold, my husband had one of those too and was in bed for 2 days! After all that has caught up with you it is no wonder you feel like "rubbish". But you have got through it all. Try to find time to relax, eat well and walks in the fresh air. Treat yourself, you deserve it and hopefully in time you will start to feel more like your self again.
