Hi Wilmahair,

Haven't heard from you in a while. Sorry to hear about increasing ALP. I don't think I can answer your question but I've read that LFT's can fluctuate. What are your numbers if you'd like to share? Mine go up and down within 20 points. 2 weeks ago my alk phos was 142. Today it's 157. It's been as high as 189 at one point but I know many on here have had there's go much higher. Elevated LFT's are a sign of liver issues right? So I'm guessing the higher they go may indicate it's time to reevaluate what's going on with our lives by means of other tests.

I can't remember... are you on URSO??

Hi Stella. Thanks for replying. Not sure if they are just a low high or what but in December 2016 it was 120 normal being 30 to 110 then Feb 2017 it was 140 and now June 2017 its 158. My ALT also flucuates between 28 to 35.

Its been difficult getting regular blood test results as some Dr's are reluctant to give them for some reason.

It would be good if i could discuss this with a specialist but i am still doing a lot of traveling and not home enough to follow through to seeing a liver specialist.

I am on my way to Victoria so might try my old specialist and see what he says.

Thanks again.

There are a number of reasons that liver biochemistry can rise. I am no medical conasultant but I am fairly sure I could help if we had a conversation. Feel free tp message me, or call the Foundation and we can speak.

I am not sure to which Victoria you travel, but we can use Skype if that is easier (and cheaper for us both).

Yours,

Robert.

Thanks Robert. I am in Australia. I visit Melbourne Victoria quite frequently to see family. Am stuck in motel at present with very poor Internet service.

Not sure I know how to message or Skype some one on this site.

Thank you for the offer any way.

Alp can be found in all body tissues but high in liver.. so concern but do not panic until u do a further test! How high is your alp?

Not sure but I am guessing normal if I haven't mentioned it. I think it could be diet related but would like to have a further blood test to make sure.

I just checked my labs. I don't see ALP. I've had comprehensive metabolic, hepatic, hepatitis panel, Ana cascade, ferritin, lipid, mitochondrial m2. Where is the ALP?

Sorry I don't have the list with me at present but will get back to you about it.

Hi, sometimes ALP is called Alk Phos in lab results and sometimes the full name of alkaline phosphatase maybe try looking for that 🌼
