Very weird but I have what must be vaginal blisters which I think is herpes. I haven't had a sexual partner for over 15 years so cant understand it. Not sure if safe to have anti viral tablets with stage 4 cirrhosis and GP is not so up on liver. Anyone have an idea?
I think you need to talk with your dr for this matter.. after stage four anything can effect liver..you can let it finishes its own course and healed by itself can't you!

Hiya, I have an autoimmune condition called Hydradenitis which I've had for many years and it causes huge clusters of poison filled abscesses mostly in my groin area but can be anywhere there are sweat glands... Extremely painful and hard to treat. The most relief I have had from it was after a 6 month course of PUVA treatment which involved bathing in some kind of chemical( sorry been too long to remember it's name) and then time in a stand up UVA tube... Hope this helps in some way
could be Lichen Sclerosus? white patches of raised bumps. Very sore and itchy. Mine comes and goes and I use a steroid cream. I think Gluten has something to do with it. You need to see a dermatologist to find out what you have. hope this helps. Kandiepat

Hi , I have just been recently diagnosed with lichen sclerosus. I have pbc, AIH and celiac. i follow a gluten free diet due to the celiac so gluten is not a trigger for me.

However, I think your Gp needs a bit of a nudge! [NB As you say 'GP' I'm assuming you are in the UK] He/she should be helping, more: both in regard to what is and isn't okay for you PBC, and for your current problem. Can you see someone else in the practise? If no one can help then insist on being referred. If you are stage 4 how often do you see a Liver Consultant? Maybe see him/her, or insist on seeing one. Also maybe ask to see a skin specialist. You should not be left to deal with this on your own.

Not all blisters are herpes. My Dr told me that we all have a form of herpes from childhood. I worked for a gyn and seen herpes many times and then I seen blisters that looked like herpes but wasn't.

The Herpes virus can lie dormant in your body for years, even decades and then flare up. Several things can trigger an attack and certainly a weakened immune system is one of them. There are different strains of herpes; sounds like you need confirmation on exactly what skin condition you've got. I think they can test for herpes either by a blood test or taking a swab of the leaking fluid.
As you have a serious liver condition, maybe jump up and down a bit with your GP and insist that they test to confirm the herpes diagnosis (if they haven't already) and then insist that they contact your consultant to check on the best treatment. If your GP doesn't respond & help you satisfactorily, then possibly see another GP in the practice? I'd also be tempted to ring or e mail your consultant and ask them directly.
Do you also get mouth ulcers if so check out bechets syndrome

Get a vaginal expert like Paul Nyirjesy in philly (real) to check you for lichen sclerosis and rule out herpes. Herpes will go away w valclivor and a topical, worth it even if it raises your enzymes a bit, mine didn't. Nyirjesy may prescribe clobostetal a topical for psoriasis and Estrada a topical hormone to thin tissues and give more elasticity.
Hi Bobbycat, Well the dertmatology clinic tried everything (read previous reply) to no avail. An antibiotic I took for a bad tooth seemed to clear it up instantly, and gave me 6 months freedom from it. After another two rounds of the antibiotics over 6 months they don't work anymore and its back. So, my doctor has put me on vagifem for atropic vagina. So far its a bit less sore after 8 days. I don't know if it will relieve my problems for good.

Does yeast infection diet really work, or it is a loss of time? (vaginal)
Anti inflammatories
Malaria tablets
PCB and iron/biotin tablets? Right side muscle spasms? 
Turmeric tablets?
