Be careful. I tried this, and by tea time i was very poorly, and vomited all night, and i was ill for a few days after. I think my liver dumped loads of toxins and made me very ill.

Re your wise suggestion to get advice from consultant before "liver cleanse"- I personally wouldn't try one because I follow a diet that's liver-healthy anyway, but I do have annual colonoscopy and the bowel prep and cleanse for this makes me feel so ill that I doubt I can go through with it again. It is due in February. It sounds odd that I haven't spoken to consultant about it, but in reality, there has never been time to tell either colorectal consult or gastro consult in the very short time available. This must be the same for many of us, not enough time to say what matters? I got a new phone to download PBCF App: locked self out of phone before I had downloaded app, forgot passcode, and have to wait til this little prob is solved. But when I DO get that App, it will help me use those two minutes with the doctor to better effect?
On my initial consult with a gastroenderologist who specializes in PBC and PBC research, the doctor told me to never let anyone talk me into trying a liver cleanse as I would end up on the floor in terrible pain and with terrible vomiting. I was stage 3 confirmed with a biopsy at diagnosis in 2012.
