Abdominal veins- and caput medusea

I was almost near liver transplant 2 yrs ago. Aftr coming out of hosp i was 50 lbs heavier than my 125. I lost most of the weight frm prednisone but ended up with varicose veins on my lower abdomen and pelvic area. I am 46 and feel so depressed and my liver specilist said there is nothing they can do. It is unsightly and was brought on by the fast weight issue. Does anyone know what or if heard of anything to do?
