I would feel stupid posting anything about this today on social media. I would like to spread the word but on a more tactful day. 9-11-2001 was a very bad day in America. We were busy remembering the ones we lost.

I had to opportunity to spend the day with my wounded combat vet that lost his leg due to a rpg in Iraq in 2002. He has every excuse to be a victim, but he chooses to be a inspiration to others. Sept 12th next year please?

I'll post it on the awareness day - (in fact I posted it 6 days ago) ... but you have every choice available to you about whether or not you want to read it or reply to it. Which you did (reply I mean).

If your comment of "I would feel stupid posting anything about this today..." was meant to tell me that I should feel stupid, I don't.

Does spreading awareness about a disease mean I don't think about that horrible day - absolutely not. But I don't have to justify myself or my actions to you or anyone else. But I will say, I didn't create Sept 11th as the PBC awareness day - but I will spread awareness for it. ....but you're free to wait until Sept 12th next year to read anything about it.

PS If you'd like to lobby to change the awareness date, maybe you should contact the PBC foundation.

Becca, I was just ranting a bit. I looked at past dates and they do change around, maybe to fall on weekend. At no point was I trying to put you or the foundation down. I was expressing my concerns. I think the foundation does many great things for us.

I should have read your post 6 days ago and posted it to my Facebook and website.
