Hi Goldsworthyhelen,

really glad you posted this as I have been wondering the same. I try to eat healthy-ish and avoid alcohol but I want to know what food will help my liver so I requested to some help from my specialist and I have an appointment with a nutritionist in December. Sorry I have not been much help today but I'm hoping I'll know more soon. Looking forward to everyone's replies.

xx

I eat low fat low sugar & healthy no alcohol by choice. My diet nurse has advised to even out carbs & friut at regular intervals. Brown everything ie rice pasta & wholemeal high fiber etc. Lots of veg.

I try and follow Dr. Furman, Eat to Live. Almost no meat and when I do it is chicken or fish. No red meats! I do eat yogurt, Kiefer, and some cheese. I also try and cook and not eat out. Almost no aded fats, white foods, or breads and pastas. I don't necessarily do organic, but I don't do processed. My biggest food blunder is diet sundrop. It's a soda. I drink lots of water. I will try and pull some of my favorite recipes together. Send me an email if you are interested. Pattiwhitaker@ymail.com

Good luck,

Patti

I eat a gluten free diet as well as take probitics to promote a healthy digestive system. Something I find interest is the new information of the gut-brain connection and our immune systems.
