Headaches and PBC

Hi just wondering if any other PBC sufferers get severe headaches ? I get them every now and then. I'm not dehydrated I just got up with s headache and despite taking a couple of pain relief it's still here.

Help ???

Hi, I have to take Propranalol for my severe (at times) headaches. I also have to use Maxi Melts when these headaches turn into Migraines. I also suffer from brain fog and confusion, especially when I am tired. Because I also get joint and muscular pain I have to take co-proxamol which helps with relieving the pain.

Hi, I have headaches too, with pain and stiffness from back side of neck, and brain fog and confusion. I always wonder if it is from toxins. Also bone, joint, and muscular pain. I've been instructed (and prefer not) to not take any medication. I just use consistent hot, moist compresses (wet washcloths/towels), to help with relief.

I get bad headaches but not related to my liver. They come from my neck and shoulders. I go see an osteo every few months when they get bad.

Are these headaches related to PBC? I have had a severe headache for over a week now and also feel sick with it. The headache is so severe that it hursts even moving my head. Have tried paracetomol but it does not help.

Didnt think to ask my consultant if these headaches are related to PBC.

Maybe someone can tell us if they are related to PBC.

I have suffered with bouts of severe headaches since diagnosis. I wake up with a headache, it's debilitating, painkillers don't touch it and often sick. The pain comes up the back of my neck and them spreads around my head. It also gives me very stiff shoulders.

Seen doctor but no real help....no idea if it's PBC related but I suspect it is.

My neck, shoulders and knees are the worst. Just been told I have arthritis in one knee and wonder if thats what causes the shoulder pain too. As for the headache I have had it bad since Just beforeI was diagnosed 16 years ago. I cannot get a definative answer re if the pains due toPBC. However have been told the brain fog/confusion is.

Only time I ever remember havin really bad headaches that felt were linked to the Pbc was when my liver was in trouble when I was pregnant. But my bloods showed up that my liver was failing and was treated and recovered from that episode. I feel any headaches I have had over the yrs ( was diagnosed with PBC in 2002 havin suffered severe symptom for a yr) were more due to neck probs r occasionally constipation. Also I know high blood pressure amongst other things can cause headaches. Worth getting it checked out. Hope u get reprieve from them soon.

Not sure how helpful this will be for you. I do get headaches although not severe but it seems to tie in with my dry eyes. I do have drops and vita-pos gel/ointment for evening but when they are bad that's when I get the headaches and I just wondered if you had been diagnosed with dry eyes. All part of pbc. Hope you get things sorted out. Headaches are debilitating for you on top of everything else. tinyScot

Yes I have been dignosed with dry eyes and dry mouth, but just recently I'm feeling more tired than usual and bad headaches x
