Hello overnighthearingloss.

I posted on this site not so long ago with regards to sugars after seeing a progamme on UK tv (Food Unwrapped). I have now forgotten the terminology used for sugar that is broken down as in juicing for eg or other processed sugars. Even honey is in this category!

Apparently these sugars processed as in juicing apple for eg can be quite an overload for the liver whereas an apple eaten raw doesn't have the same breakdown of the sugar in it so in theory it was stated that it was healthier and less taxing on the system than the overload of the juice. It was stating that the liver has more to deal with due to the amount consumed at the time.

I think it does make sense that by juicing fruit (vegetables are not involved) we are having more of a content of the sugars present in them as we would in a raw state.

I've been an advocate myself of juicing for years now but I wouldn't say I juiced every single day. When I have it has been fruit that would otherwise not be fit to eat in a raw state as in it was overly-ripening so used up juicing.

The article I noticed did emphasize fructose but apparently what I did see on tv about processed sugars (as it stated is whaqt we are doing if juicing or blending fruits together), it is a lot of various sugars and can be quite scary seeing packaging and then realising just how much sugar in various forms are in a processed product.
