Paxil for anxiety
Has anyone had any success with
Paxil
for treating anxiety? It's the latest my doctor has had me try. Only been on it for a few days, but when I Googled this I found such mixed responses as to how long it takes to work.

Paroxetine/paxil
Paroxetine stopped working for me over 12 months ago so doctor suggested i tried another ssri ive tried two different brands one worked better than the other but none of them provided relief like paroxetine has done. Anyone any experience of going back on paroxetine after a break and it working again

Anxiety flare up on dose adjustments
Was on
Paxil
for 20 years prior to that. Was emotionally numbed on it. The doctor is doing a cross taper slowly on moving away from Prozac to a new ssri. Even just with a tiny dose adjustment my GAD flares up and it’s hell. I’ll be good for the first week and then just fall apart on week 2.

Extreme insomnia
I have been stable for most of my life on
Paxil
but over the last year the anxiety seemed better so I tapered down to 10mg. I started having some depression symptoms over the last few months so I thought it might be a good time to switch to Lexapro (been wanting to get off
Paxil
for years).

Feeling Right
As far as meds, once I conceded that I needed them,
Paxil
worked for a while, but had a side effect profile. Lexapro, although promising at first, doesn't seem to help much now. So I'm considering entering more focused therapy.

Acupuncture and Hot Flashes
MO has prescribed
Paxil
, Effexor and something else that didn't work, I tried magnesium and bee pollen all to no avail. I finally tried acupuncture - he had mentioned this the first time I complained and have just now tried it.

one dose of mirtazapine 1.25mg (title corrected)
while dozy in the early morning, i heard short ringtones, 3 times altogether, a withdrawal effect i had 15 years ago coming off 3 months (+ 1 month taper) of
paxil
. wished i'd had, like 0.3mg instead of the initial 1.25mg ... and i'm so glad that i hadn't taken any larger amount!

Help and advice please
Now on
Paxil
60 mg and Ativan and
Paxil
has not helped at all. Anyone else have this problem? Should I try adding low dose abilify as adjunct. I just worry about tardive akathasia and other side effects. I’m beyond stressed …now picking at my scalp and hair causing patches of baldness.

Anxiety and Depression
I am trying Rexulti (just upped to 1 mg) in addition to
Paxil
. I can't really tell how the Rexulti is going to affect me yet. Wondering if people had experiences with Rexulti to share.

Menopause and OCD
About six years ago when I had a flare up, I went on birth control to help with the intrusive thoughts during perimenopause, and that, along with
Paxil
, worked pretty well.

3/12/23 update, Day 8: B1 Therapy, ALINAMIN F, TTFD
b) Explanation: 30-plus years ago when I was diagnosed Bi-Polar, it was due to my reaction to
Paxil
(I caught myself telling my boss he was being stupid (no tack). I only took
Paxil
one week). After about a year, I stopped seeing that doctor because I believe he was more Bi-Polar than I was.

Depression is Making Me Feel Like I'm Not Alive Anymore
My psychiatrist gave me Prozac and the side effects made me so sick that I've lost almost 30 pounds - before that Lexapro, before that
Paxil
, mirtazapine and a bunch of others. Now he stopped the Prozac after 21 days and gave me Lamictal. I'm so lost right now - just crying.
