I am taking b12 injections every other day. Since my legs have been burning lately, I decided to decrease the frequency. But as soon as more than 2 days go by I start feeling sick, fatigued, depressed and can't concentrate. Does this happen to you as well? What do you recommend?

Feeling bad when discontinuing injections
Keep going at present if it's keeping symptoms at bay.
Many symptoms have improved, however, I don't understand if the burning legs are caused by too much b12 or a healing process
I would think healing.Wonderful you have had improvements as relatively early days
I burn up still like a hot flush after an injection. Transient .
I treat it as 'firing up
Sometimes vision goes down
Sometimes tinnitus
Sometimes dopey
Twice a surge of energy when I really didn't know what to do first as so many things I wanted to do.
I used to get terrible headaches / migraines the day after an injection.
But I continued every other day for months despite this as was alot worse off them.
Still not any consistent clear patterns after 2 1/2 years.
Am now at last yawning .an odd thing but enjoy it .
Some of my symptoms are now more recognisable from what are deemed 'typical'
Also I get an occasional pain I had before ill like crunchy knees or a sore lower back from standing.
That were masked by so much more going on .
While there's change there's hope.
Keep injecting every other day . Burning legs/ feet can be a sign of B12 deficiency. Are you taking a daily 400mcg tablet of folic acid . It works withB12 .
Hi Zeffy90,Sorry to hear you are suffering. It’s a case of which symptoms have least impact. I’ve found it completely trial and error. I read your other posts and you say you have IBS ? Has anyone recommended the FODMAPS diet ?
Take good care.
I have to stick to every other day.
Magnesium should help with burning legs
Also B5. Are you on a B complex?
I previously had no problems with my legs other than sciatic nerve pain every month (which went away after the injections).
Unbelievable...grrr
I just wonder if you have had your potassium and magnesium levels checked?
If not this could be a good thing to do as it suggests to me that your muscles are lacking something. Electrolytes are the most obvious ones but it could be other vitamins and minerals - my head is suggesting vitamin E and selenium, despite this being a rare problem for us.
While you're about it, ask them to check folate, iron and Vit D too.
Once you have had your blood tests it's a good idea to take a broad spectrum A-Z multivitamin and mineral supplement as a background starting point and then make sure you eat high nutrient foods.
You are doing the right thing by listening to your body and hearing its complaints! If you were OK before it suggests there is possibly a problem - not with the jabs but in addition to them.
Good for you! Go look for answers!
I hope you find them soon and you feel better.
