Many of us on this forum have that tale to tell , and the frustrations experienced because we need our B12 injections more often than the bog-standard , one size fits all , 3 monthly injection. You can tell your doctor that 3 months is too long to wait for your injection. I tried very hard as I also had neurological symptoms ,to no avail . So I had to resort to self-injections . I have one weekly to keep symptoms at bay . We are all different and require different regularities of injections .

Do talk to your doctor . Better still write a letter to your Doc , copy to the practice manager , explaining that your symptoms return after so many weeks , and that you need them more often . Your letter will be put on file . It may not be easy .

If you get desperate , come back here and you will be told how to go about self-injecting , if you decide you would like to go down that route ( one good thing , it’s not expensive , and one cannot overdose ) . I’m afraid that we know on this forum that the medical profession in general has little understanding or knowledge of P.A. . It’s one of the Cinderella conditions . We have to help ourselves to stay well . Best wishes.

How do I go about self injecting, as I have spoken to my GP and they will only give my them every 12 weeks

I advise you to write a letter -email - with copies to the surgery manager your M.P. and local newspaper . , explaining that your symptoms return well in advance of your next injection . Look under “pinned posts “ (right hand side for references . )

Ask at least for 8 weeks.

After letters of ect. I'm on a 2weekly prescription. But have many more symptoms than fatigue

Hard to push with fatigue but itz thd only way.

A broken record.

How will you otherwise treat me?

Make sure other things ruled out too.

It does take time.
