Hello. I'm artillery plodding on waiting to function at a better level. Im on 2 weekly hydroxocobalamin injections still. My bloods revealed folate above range and magnesium above range. Ferriton still 34 (dropped from 61 ) pottassium just on range. Hb 13. Vit D 53 take 25ug daily. I'm only taking a multi vit that has 400mcg of folic acid and 50mg magnesium 14mg iron. I have been taking Solgar iron 30mg. And 100 mg ferrous sulphate twice a week. Si suprised by ferriton level. I was aiming to get it back to 60-70 as I've read below that can give fatigue!! Ect. So I will have to reduce multivit to ? 3× weekly. I do eat iron rich food with vit c. So something using up my iron??? Any ideas. Now off amitriptyline after short trial to reduce migrsin/headaches. Started a homeopathic remedy from a practitioner that certainly has shaken up my nervous system. So waiting if that helps. On tissue salts too for brain and nervous system. Any help gratefully received

Be careful with those homeopathic remedies. Somebody I know forgot two pills and suffered an overdose.

Sorry I don't understand. An overdose ? Forgetting 2 pills?

Any advice on my ferriton levels? Thanks

I think that was meant to be a joke. My advice is if it works for you, then it works. On your iron I have had quite a bit of experience with that myself. It got so bad I needed an iron infusion which topped up my ferritin to top of range. In 6 weeks it fell to below half of that. I was eating an iron rich diet and it made no difference. Iron needs an acidic environment to be absorbed. With PA we often see the acidic environment in our stomach severely reduced and that can prevent iron uptake. But C contains ascorbic acid which is why you’re abused to take it with iron as it’s believed it improves absorption. I take 2 sachets of iron a day of Spatone with apple (bit c) and after 3 months my iron went up so I know that works for me. On your vit d, I had trouble absorbing the pills my go gave me so used a liquid one. It said one drop a day so I took 4 a day and after a month my level went from 24 (severely deficient) to 120 which is ideal. Now I just take one drop! Hope this helps.

Yes it does thank you. My vit D was 21 but can't get it put of the 50s. I didn't know you could get liquid form. I donly of course try and get a bit of sun too. I will take more of the iron I have. I was being on the cautios side as I know you can overdose it. Just trying to get functioning a bit better. Back on bed as head Sissinghurst and skull tightest again as trying to cook a dinner! It's when I use my eyes. Thanks for reply
