B12 and weight

I have posted on here previously about having put on over a stone in weight since starting on B12 injections and after every injection I feel as if I retain fluid and feel so bloated everywhere legs, hands, stomach just generally all over! Has anyone else experienced this? Have been on b12 for 2 years now!

I've been si every 2 weeks for a yr and I've gained 70 pounds (5 stone I gather).

Also get 2 iron infusions every 3 months. Vitamin D dropping but still within normal range after 2yrs of 50,000 units of D3 a wk.

No idea why I'm gaining weight but also experiencing occasional swelling & bloated feeling all over.

I have celiac disease, pernicious anemia & chronic IDA.

I do wonder if it's the b12... My skin looks horrible too.

I did put on weight but got my taste back. not the same.

The strange thing is that B12 injections are promoted by the so-called “beauty industry” for LOSING weight . ! They make a lot of money charging their gullible customers huge amounts for the injections . ( when we know that they can only cost us just over £1.00 , if we self -inject .) But I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone saying that B12 injections cause weight -gain . It might be a quite different issue .
