Does anyone get tingling feeling sometimes going through their body,. Doesn't last long , not like pins and needles. I am taking b12 sublingual pills. Is this the blood cells repairing themselves?

Shirley I had that and sometimes still have it. Even going up my neck and over my head (left side), mostly forearms, right hip, or pelvic floor for some reason. It started to go away once I was getting B12 levels up. xX

Yes mine is not a big area, just little spots, and is on the right side of my head and knees . What were your b12 levels and what are they now.? I am taking b12 sublingual , but get a terrible headache, not sure if the headaches will stop after I take them a bit longer, I take 500mcg and afraid to increase them in fear of bigger headaches.

Shirley I had enlarged blood cells and numb feet, chronic fatigue, breathlessness. My doctor did nothing as my B12 levels were 660 . I looked up enlarged blood cells on the net and saw it was B12 as my folate was ok. I remember that my tingling (this was after numb feet) started on the left corner of my mouth, I thought sh*te I am having a stroke! but I was ok :0) I have daily headaches, wake up with them in the mornings :0( they might disappear come late evening and daily fatigue and weakness (imagine everyone runs on a 9 volt battery all day long, and I am only running on 1 volt). I am having to take 20,000 mcg of Jarrows sublingural to even feel a tiny bit human. Low B12 does cause headaches not sure if supplimenting does.

My blood levels show over 1000 but I feel I am probably deficiency at cellular level like I was with magnesium. Shirley headaches can be caused by a magnesium deficiency and they reckon that 80% off us will be short in this mineral. Also low B12 can cause very high homocysteine levels and I think that can cause headaches.

500mcg is going to be slow going for you to bring your levels up. Is your low B12 diet or something else. Mine is not diet. I do have hypothyroidism.

I am in Canada and my Dr says my levels are ok at 220. I have all the symptoms of B12 and my mom is Low b12 she is receiving injections once a month. So I started to take the sublingual pills and have consent headaches and what I call thick head, with tingling in the side of the head and knees and now the breast bone. I am thinking I will up the amount of the pills for a few days and see what happens. I eat a good diet, but have low thryroid and take synthroid everyday.

Where are you writing from?

You have been so helpful, here I thought I was going crazy, and like you I thought I was having a stroke with the tingling in the side of my face and a slight that feels like a drew coming down the side of my lips. Off to EMG no stroke or heart attack, had a stress test done and everything was ok.

Hi Shirley I am from London Uk. Low thyroid and low B12 can run together and I would consider 220 very low, I do not feel better unless my B12 is upto 1000 or more. I am not sure of the percentage but a lot of the B12 in the blood will not be asorbable. Can you get an active B12 blood test where you are to show how much of it is active and how much non active. My eldest son B12 was 220 and he was getting a lot of problems, constant weeing, feel fatigue, dizzy funny spells, breathlessness on excertion. Your Mum has it, like his Mum has it I have been told it can run in families.

I had thick head and tingling in head when mine was low, it is hard to tell darling, I constant suffer with sinusitus and sinus headaches which also go hand in hand with low thyroid and B12 I do think they take down your immune system.

I feel so much better without a headache alas that only happens a couple of times a month. My very worse is when I get up in the mornings I feel like I have been out on the booze the night before (I cannot even tolerate alcohol anymore). My B12 always goes way down if I take any antibiotics.

I just finished a round of antibiotics for pneumonia . How old is your oldest son? So taking b12 has not helped your headache , I was hoping it would help mine, the rest I can deal with.

He is in his early 30's Shirley. Every time I have taken amoxillion it has totally trashed my B12. I then did a wildcard online and put amoxillion and B12 into Google and there it was???

I take it you are just taking the sublingual pills , why not the injections?

My GP would not treat as my B12 was 600 I was feeling pretty rough and had enlarged blood cells again (I had not been supplementing, so strange that it was 600). I am a meat eater. 15 years ago I was feeling awful blood test for B12 came back very low and enlarged blood cells (I was bed-ridden) they said it was ME/CFS. Doctor said l know what this is "you drink too much alcohol" I said I cannot tolerate it anymore so I don't drink and I was only a very light drinker before that 4 or 5 times a year. Oh she said "well I don't know what it is". Went back home so ill, my partner thought he would google enlarged red blood cells and up came B12. So I started to supplement and got a shed load better. I did not realise I would have to have it for life. I use to get awful pain in my hips and that went with taking B12. Now I am just so ill :0(

Wow that is the antibiotic I was taking. So sorry that you are still feeling ill. I was hoping the b12 pills would have helped you. My son is 46 . Therefore I am assuming I am a few years older than you. Haha .. I don't know if you have heard anything about drinking Liquid Chorophyll , you should google it.

One more question , did you experience problems with your vision, like lights hurts your eyes , I wear glasses and I am always taking them off to clean them, thinking they are dirty. Have a nice day, not sure of the time difference in the UK but it 3.29pm here. You have been more helpful than our silly Doctors . Hope you find some improvement. Hang in there . By chance are you on Facebook?
