Red Itchy Eye after Vitamin B12 shot

I took a Vitamin B12 shot on wednesday 7.2.18, and today I have my one eye turned red and itchy. Is this anything related to Vitamin B12 shot?

Does anyone of you know some obvious side effects of the Vitamin B12 shot?

If it was a reaction, as the B12 was injected, it would effect both eyes, not just one. It sounds more like an eye infection.

agree with topazrat that it sounds like an eye infection - you could try contacting GP or you could try contacting an optician - tend to have better equipment for seeing what is going on than a GP does (and there can be a high chance of the GP sending you to optician anyway if my experiences in the past are anything to go by).

Hi all, Thank u so much for the replies.

I am still unsure about my itchy eyes, however I dont have the issue now. So I believe it was nothing to so with Vitamin B12. I think I am just panicking myself because of so many minor health issues.

Its not that severe though, goes away in day or two.

Certain types of b12 cause itchy eyes for me, almost like a pollen allergy. Sometimes it even accompanies a full feeling in ears. It generally goes away quickly. Typically I contribute this to the mannitol in the supplement, but I don’t know if it was in the specific injection you had received. The only one that I am not seeing side effects from is methyl 12 injection.
