Just a small update to previous message regarding AD's

Many thanks for the interesting and very informative replies to my previous message, they are all very gratefully received.

Just to update a bit on something I should have stated in original post. When I first got all the results I did immediately decide to come off the antidepressant's which I am doing very slowly. I was on Venlafaxine which are known for horrendous withdrawal side effects and it is actually recommended to decrease the dose by only 10% a month so just shows what awful drugs these are and you can see why many people give up on withdrawing and go back on them again as doctors often say decrease by half a tablet a week.

Obviously I have to be mindful of this when strange things are happening to my body as I cannot be sure what is causing it with the blasting of vitamins and AD withdrawal but so far all very positive and I am positive that the best is to come when I am free of the AD's. Luckily I was on a low dose anyway although doctor wanted me to double it!!

Not sure if you've seen it yet (posted late) but I left a reply on your previous post with suggestions for things to ask your new GP, in particular in relation to further autoimmune investigations and the raised inflammatory marker (CPR)...and of course things B12 😄.

P.s wonder if your GP is aware that anxiety and depression (and other Neuropsychiatric symptoms) can be a symptom of B12 deficiency?)

Yes I did Foggyme and I am very grateful to you for taking the time to do it.. I actually now wonder what my doctor does know!! He is nearing retirement and to be honest he is just not interested in anything other than what he knows and AD's are an easy way to shut someone up and get them out the door. Not me this time though!!

It always horrifies me how often we hear of GP's who dole out antidepressants rather than apply diagnostic rigour and a keen interest in solving health issue for their patients. Even when presented with evidence by their often better informed patient...

And I won't even start on the harm patients suffer lest I go off into a long old rant....
