Hello all,
I am visiting a private Occupational Therapist which my work is paying for. I find it really hard to work full-time as I am constantly exhausted, feel faint, nausea etc. Have any of you been referred to one by your workplace?
Thanks

Haven't been referred in relation to B12 deficiency but have seen OT in the past - their focus is on enabling you to carry out your job and remain healthy. They may not know much about how B12 deficiency affects people. If you are a member of the PAS then there are materials that you may be able to use that explain how PA can affect your working life

If you have PA or a problem absorbing B12 then you may come within the scope of legislation relating to discrimination of people with disabilities which puts your employer under an obligation to make reasonable adjustments. Consulting/referal to OH is a sensible part of the process of identifying what the options are for reasonable adjustments.
I am a member so I'll check those out! Thank you
Luckily my employer is very understanding which is why they are putting the time into it.
I just don't want the OT to think it's unneeded in any way.
