Hi, hoping someone can confirm these are okay from VERSANDAPO.de. First time ordering & just want to make sure before I get my daughter to inject for me. I keep reading the order over & over again but still scared in case it's wrong

I was wondering about these as well. I too was a bit apprehensive so didn't buy them. I'll be interested in your replies for future use!

Just make sure you are ordering the type of B12 that you want as Rotexmedica supply both hydroxocobalamin and cyanocobaalamin. I find it easiest on all those German sites (Goldpharma, MyCare and Versand) to put hydroxocobalamin (or cyanocobalamin if that is your preference) in the search box so it brings up the options just for hydroxo rather than all the B12 options.

The Rotexmedica ampoules are 1mg/1ml i.e. 1mg of hydroxo in 1ml of liquid which is the same concentration as the NHS ampoules. I usually buy Hevert or Lophacomp which are 1mg/2ml ampoules i.e. the same 1mg of hydroxo in 2ml liquid so a more dilute solution. I find those more comfortable for intramuscular injections.

Yes, I've bought those from Versand in the past. Nowadays I get the 1.5 ug ones versandapo.de/article/searc...

Versand are, in my experience, a very reliable company.

Whew...thank you ! x

I have struggled in the past to buy the solution as I am always unsure what to buy. This is very helpful and I will buy from this site in future taking onboard your advice and suggestions 😊

They were the ones my NHS Dr used, of the hydroxocobalamin version.

I buy from versandapo.de and they have been great. If you use Google Chrome to open their site it will automatically translate everything for you. If you buy via PayPal that automatically sorts the currency exchange rates out too.

I buy the same ones as fbirder, in boxes of 100 from Pascoe. They are excellent quality and even the glass ampoules they come in are better to use!

Good luck!

Don't forget all the cofactors needed to metabolise the B12 - a broad spectrum multivitamin and mineral supplement plus extra folate, potassium and magnesium at least.

...I have taken a note of all your information. I eat a banana every day, I have run out of folic acid & can't get more till I see my doc on Thursday. I got a call on Friday from doctor's office saying they wanted to discuss my bloods. When I asked for a prescription of folic acid in the meantime the receptionist (once again) wouldn't request an interim prescription for me .(my folate level had been 2.2 on my first test). I am still taking vitamin D which doc gave me 3xmonths ago but they are just about finished. What broad spectrum multivitamin do you recommend ?

Hi! What country are you from?

In Britain, folic acid is available from all pharmacies and supermarkets and is much cheaper than on prescription.

Normally the tablets are 400 mcg (mcg can also be written as a back-to-front "u" g) so you may need to take several a day.

The more often you inject the more you will need. E.g. the recommended dose for injecting every other day is 5 mg and to get this you would need 16 of the 400 mcg ones plus 200 from a broad spectrum multivitamin and mineral supplement.

I have looked at these and found the most comprehensive cheap one is Tesco's A-Z multivitamins + minerals. Once again all pharmacies and supermarkets do a version which is relatively inexpensive. There are others on Amazon too.

I expect you will need more potassium than supplied by only one banana a day and suggest you Google something like "potassium rich foods" to get a list of the things that you like. Don't forget drinks too - Coconut Water is a good source, as are smoothies made from potassium rich fruits. If you can't get enough potassium from your diet you can use LoSalt (or even NoSalt if you are in the USA). Be careful with this as it is possible to have too much - but realise too little is unhealthy (causing muscle cramps, heart arrhythmia and anxiety feelings, etc) and you need it to metabolise the extra B12.

Magnesium is available in many forms but Magnesium chloride is the most bio-available version. Magnesium sulphate or Epsom Salts is readily available from all pharmacies and supermarkets as a constipation remedy. It has less of a laxative effect if you bath in it or spray it on and absorb it through your skin!

deniseinmilden Whow, that's a lot of information. I have taken a copy of this so I can get it round my little head. I will buy lo salt & try the Tesco multivitamins. I have ordered magnesium citrate earlier today from amazon so hopefully that will help. I will also look up which fruits will help as I usually have blackberries, strawberries along with a lemon & honey drink I make each day. I am hoping I will only need to inject every four weeks but maybe I am being a bit of a dreamer here. I do know that after my loading doses I was "normal" for about 6 weeks...then the crash ! Thank you so much for your help. I really don't know what I would do without you all. This, along with the book "could it be b12" has made me check with my 97 year old mum's doctor as she has been getting really weak when walking round shops, had a couple of falls, and memory change recently. Her B12 is 330, which they say is adequate, so I have another even bigger fight on my hands for my mum, who has been amazing for her age, looking after her own home, garden etc & who up till now was like a young 70 year old ! I live in Scotland by the way so you know what problems we have in the UK with levels not being properly recognised

Big thanks x

I hope the magnesium citrate works for you. A friend gave me a bottle of enormous pills to try because they didn't work for her and she wondered if it was just her - and maybe she had no reaction because she didn't need them - or if the tablets weren't all they hoped to be.

I haven't had any success with them and hence tried the magnesium sulphate and then the magnesium chloride - best results for me!

Good luck! X

.I buy from versandapo.de and they have been great. If you use Google Chrome to open their site it will automatically translate everything for you.

If you've followed any of the links I've posted then it will be to the English version of their page.

Just under the 'Shopping Cart' on the top right there are buttons to switch between German, English, Spanish, French and Italian.
