Hi to all on the forum,

3 months ago my B12 Test was 114pmo/L which equates to 155ng/L from the Range 130-800 ng/L Todays result shows a slight increase in B12 to 178ng/L i have been eating more meat including

Beef. But i did not supplement, due to the test.I was looking at taking a B12 sublingual liquid supplement

the product info is below and i was wondering if there would be any beneficial results from the B complex , also wondering if the doses are considered high to take in the long term and should it be taken for instance with another supplement?

I would be very grateful for any advice ,Thank-you.

I'm not sure if the difference in count is really going to be significant in relation to indicating that you have absorbed B12 from food - its a small difference and the reading is still at low end of range - question is really whether you are experiencing symptoms (and that ought to be the doctors question to themselves but we all now how difficult it is to get doctors to recognise that)

Guess if you are on this site then you probably are.

In terms of B6 and B12 neither level is going to be a problem long term. Not so familiar with the other B vitamins.

It doesn't include folate (B9) - which is okay as if you can manage it the best format is that from food - but you do need to keep an eye on folate levels as well as body needs folate to absorb and use B12

You may find this useful in looking at the other elements of the complex
