Hi, I was wondering if anyone has suffered from hand cramps at all? My right hand has started getting cramps over last few days and it is really painful.

Any help would be appreciated :-) xx

Thanks secondchance can I just ask do you get them when your next injection is due? I had my loading doses in August and not due until November for next one but feeling my symptons returning so wondered if this was part of that.

Thanks

Hi I haven't had foot cramps since starting B12 but now I have reduced B12 frequency I think other symptoms are starting up again eg the sighs. Weird how different people are in their symptoms.

I know I learn something new every day. I have the signs too. Didn't realise until recently just how much I do it until it was pointed out to me. I think people just thought I was fed up all the time. I had to tell them it's kinda like getting your breath to climb over the hill it that makes sense.

My mum said if my symptons are back early I should ring the nurse to go earlier but think we all know that will be a battle!!!

How far apart are your injections Secondchance?

I'm now at 3 weeks for first. Had been doing ok on 2 weekly. Going to go back to 2 weeks as hair is falling out more again too. Trying to be good and stick to what gp has given me along with sublingual 5mg but increasingly starting to think I might just have to do my own thing and get my own B12 injections. I am still reluctant to do that but as my gp wants to further reduce frequency it looks like only option. He looked at me as if I was mad last time but gave me another prescription to get rid of me I'm quite sure.

So you get a jab every 3 weeks from your GP (just clarifying!)

No self injecting. Not got time to waste in surgery for 2 hours each time. Did that since loading injections. GP was going to stop them but I made a very firm case for continuing and so he gave me more to shut me up! I imagine I will have a battle each time so considering buying my own.

I know it might only be a temporary situation but at least you made a lot more headway than most in nudging (or pushing!) your GP this far. Most haven't got a hope in the hot place!

IaI's injections seem to me just to be too far apart to stop the neuro symptoms. Not enough b12 - only enough to treat the blood not the distant damage.

Yes I was very persuasive! I know I have been lucky. I think knowledge is power.
