Has anyone else had blepharitis? ...eye infection..

YES. BIG TIME. I FINISHEDUP WITH SURGERY AT MOORFIELDS.and that was when they discoved cataracts and removed them also

A tip I learned while my mum was in a nursing home , she had had a very bad stroke .

You possibly don't realise that you don't blink as much and your eyes can then become sticky . I cleanse my husbands eyes at least twice a day with a mild solution of baby wash and baby oil , it works a treat . Also makes longer eye lashes lol..

You might notice that your skin is more greasy .dry including your scalp , to overcome this try using head and shoulders , when our Gp told us to use it I was worried that it would be toooo strong but it isn't . When you wash your hair let it run down you face .eye brows etc and this will also help .. Good luck hope it does help stop it happening ..

had nothing but trouble with my eyes since having parky 11 years still ongoing blepharitus , cold sores, graves disease had two operations but at least i can still see

My eye doctor stated with PD we don't blink as often, causing bacteria to gather on and under our eye lashing causing eye infections. He recommended using baby shampoo ( gentle for the eyes) and washing the eye lashes and lids every day. He also recommended buying over the counter eye lubricant to keep the eyes lubricated. I have been doing this for a few years and my eyes have not been irritated,or infected.

Thanks very useful..im using eyedrops and gel but not better yet! Also have lichen schlerosis due to lower. Immune system..any ideas?
