I'm sick and tired !!

I'm sick and tired of having PD ! I'm sick and tired of what it has done to me ! I'm sick and tired of the pills that work sometimes ! I'm sick and tired that every month there's news that their close to finding new drugs and close to finding the cause and maybe a cure !! Then nothing happens ! It's been 12 years now that I've been living with the BEAST !! I'm sick and tired that it has taken so much from me and it keeps coming back for MORE MORE MORE !!! I don't have no more to give!!! It's going to be 2013 soon will this be the year when I STOP being sick and tired or will I continue being sick and tired !!

So Happy New Year I really HOPE SO !!

Ok I'm done thanks

So I am too. But what can I do? Give up?

Stand up to the brutality of this freaking diminisher?

I can heal

I will heal

I am healing!

It sucks I know, none of us deserve this agony

But when I wake up to Parky on my pillow

I know that HIS time is up

because I am healing...

I will diminish HIM not vice versa...

I'll tread water until I can float, I'll float until I get a boat, I'll sail until I reach dry land.

I am healing!

HEY BIG GUY

YU KNOW THE ONLY WAY TO WIN HERE IS KICK IT IN THE NUTS

IT WINS IF YU DROP THE GUARD, WE ARE ALL WAITING FOR A SCORE , ACURE

NZ PD RESEARCH HAVE A NEW TREATMENT APPROVED FOR PUBLIC TRIAL

USING PIG CELLS, THEYR ARE NEW DRUGS LIKE PROSAVIN COGANE AND OTHERS

NEARING APPROVAL, JUST KEEP A SENSE OF HUMOUR, KEEP MY GLASS IS HALF FULL ATTITUDE,, AND HEY IT AINT EASY BUT PD WEARS YU DOWN

SOON A RESULT WILL COME....MEANTIME.IF YOUR PILLS DONT WORK TRY TO FIND A NEW DRUG THAT WORKS BETTER DONT SIT AND WAIT ,DO SOMETHIN ABOUT IT GO FIND AN ALTERNTIVE, AND THERE ARE ALWAYS OPTIONS( EVERYONE WORKS TO A BUDGET)

BE THE HUNTER NOT THE PREY, YU ARE THE MAN IN CONTROL, FIGHTING THIS OPPONENT (YOURSELF) YU MUST STAY STRONG. WE ALL WILL ATTEND MR PARKINSONS FUNERAL AND IT WILL BE IN OUR LIFETIME

Do something about it then..try gi gong classes, try visiting a naturpath, exercising regularly every day. Accept everyone is aging and has health problems..its up to us to put the effort in and not get stuck in a poor me frame of mind. See the glass half full...hard but its the only answer..moaning makes it worse..good luck, we are all swimming in the same direection..go with the flow.

hey we all have those days, no argument on that score whatevever words to decsribe the feeling ive go dozens more, sometimes ther r no words to say what you r feeling but ther r quite alot of obscene gestures, you got to snap out of it malkeplans do things that r fun that u like, when im so stuck on the couch i take to watching i love lucy or the beverly hillbllies, with a tub of ben and jerrys ,itsa whole lot better than dopa ,and the rest of the crap we take, and i mean that in the broadest of terms, ther are days when the black cloud of despair is overwhelming, but the sun does peek out ,make sure u r there to soak up the rays you deserve it ,hang in there,g-d bless.

Dont give in to it or talk like that. Otherwise the disease knows you surrender to it.

fight it on every corner.

I do think often chronic illness can make us stronger as humans.

Dont let anything get in the way of enjoying life.

All I can say is it's a Movicol day :P

Hi Anthony,

I went on a search this morning to find some Chinese proverbs that might make us all feel a little bit better:

one is:

The appearance of a disease is swift as an arrow; its disappearance slow, like a thread.

— Chinese Proverb

The other is:

The superior doctor prevents sickness; The mediocre doctor attends to impending sickness; The inferior doctor treats actual sickness.

Maybe we ourselves are the inferior doctors that must find ways to treat ourselves. One sure way is to exercise. So, I'm getting off this computer right now - and go take my dog out. It's also good to be so needed!!!!

Well I think you should allow your usual determination and interest to go on holiday from time to time. Let your guard down, express your disappontments feel despondent and having done so and why not, then resurrect the usual but re-invigorated Anthony, resolved to carry on once more as before.

I, too, am sick and tired of the disease. I had to give up a nursing career that I loved. No one truly understands the impact this disease takes on someone. The frustration of losing the ability to do the things you use to do so easily, like button your shirt-make a nice dinner- now have become so difficult that you give up in frustration. I am sick and tired of people telling me "it could be worse" , or just "take your time". Time I feel is what I do not have. Now I am having difficulty swallowing- so the pleasure of enjoying a meal has now become affected.

I understand-somedays I feel like screaming-but I don't have the strength. You are not alone in your feeling of "being sick and tired".
