MY NEW JOB

Hi all

I hope you are all ok

Today is a good day for me as I was offered a new job YAY!! I will be employed as a support worker, mainly supporting a young man with Autism.....It`s shift work, days, evenings, sleep ins, weekends but I`m really looking forward to it. My new employers are even going to try and organise my shifts around me seeing my kids, how nice is that? Anyway I start on Wed 27th June

OK. Getting quite fond of the mice if only they would stay in the fields.It is my elder grandaughter's Summer!! Fayre today so hope for better weather. Should have been her school trip yesterday to a nearby beach but had to come home early because rained off. She's not a happy bunny.

Congratulations, Andy on your job! That is awesome that you are working with people with special needs:). It takes a special person to work with, have the love and. patience for them. I have 9 yr old son with Down Syndrome and it is a job that I don't feel equipped for at all expecially have PD myself. I am fairly new to your blog site and you have been of great encouragement to me. I am thankful they will work around seeing your 3 kids!! Good Luck!!!!

A very warm welcome to this wonderful site.....you will never go short of friends on here....we are all here for each other with support, answers, questions, jokes and anecdotes....and at times, A "shoulder to cry on"....Oh and we enjoy the occasional online "party"

In my previous job I worked with some students (varying ages) who have Down Syndrome..... as well as other Learning Disabilities.... and I love the work and find it so rewarding
