Well OKAY then...

We just returned from New Orleans 4 day weekend. It was a great time, but i'm noticing it's getting harder to "go away" every time. I will never admit this to my wife or anyone else that doesn't blog here, but It's getting harder to move around like I used to. I am stiff and sore after sitting a couple hrs. in the airplane seat.

Oh yeah... while in New Orleans I had my palm read. We were both happy to hear ••• "You should have no major illnesses like ••••• MS ••• MD •••• Alhzheimers •••• PD". I'm supposed to watch my blood pressure, (even though heart disease isn't in my family)!

Hello•••• Are you really reading MY HAND? ••••••• and you can make a living doing this••••••

just because••••• He was barking at passers by on the corner.

I know it's a bunch of hooey but it was interesting to hear him back pedal when I told him I was dx. a decade ago. Lucky he didn't read the bumps on my head from the DBS!!!

Well maybe the reader is right--you already got your "major illness." You should by all right be exempt from anything else. And the blood pressure you should watch? How much did you pay for this astute reading!

Not only is it harder to move, the recovery time for our pd bodies increases. I call foul! Do over!

New Orleans is a fun place--culture all it's own. Next time maybe you can have someone throw the chicken bones and give you a reading!

Hubby doesn't travel well at all. In addition to his PD, he has DVT and orthostatic hypotension. We are hoping to visit our son in NC this Spring but will travel by train. Takes longer but driving would entail stopping every hour for him to walk around and flying effects his bp.I'm hoping that with a sleeper car, he can rest when he needs to and walk about more freely.

I'm getting worse and worse at travel. It hurts like hell to sit! I'm hoping my daughter will travel with me. She has TBI so between the two of us we might have a whole brain functioning :D

I may check out the train (NYC to St. Louis and/or Minneapolis) I used to go to Florida every year for buddhist "retreat" conference. That might be an interesting train trip. I'd need a buddy tho. Happy trails to us!

I am hoping to go to the Canary Islands for a week in September. Must be mad, but really need a holiday. Expect this could be the last one abroad. Have mixed feelings and only hope I remain stable and am able to go.

My husband has a hard time walking. I mention the things we could do while we are visiting family, but he says "You don't realize I can't walk far. It's all I can do to go from the house to the mailbox." Our mailbox is about 1/10th of a mile from the house.
