Does anyone have any experience of travel vaccinations and anti-malaria medication while taking PD meds (Azilect, Requip XL, Sinemet Plus) ?

I used to work in Nigeria. I don't recall the name of the malaria prophylactic drug my doctor wanted me to take, but when I read the contraindications, it said not to use it if you are on Carbi-dopa/L-dopa. Always study drug interactions before taking anything, no matter what the doctor says.

Last summer I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro. I take ReQuipXL 4 mg, Azilect 1 mg and Clonazapam .5 mg. There was no problem with the malaria medications. Check with your doctor. I had no problems with any medications for that matter and was able to summit the mountain. I'm female, age 66 and give all the credit to cycling at a fast pace. See pedalingforpaekinsons.org

Have a good trip.

Funnily enough we are going to Tanzania and Zanzibar so we will fly to Kilimanjaro. Well done on reaching the summit. I am very interested in cycling for fitness and am currently trying to find a new bike as i used to ride a man's Trek mountain bike and am no longer stable enough to get on and off over the crossbar!
