I have been attempting to meditate. As my anxiety seems to be increasing I wonder if the attempts are helpful. What techniques have worked the best?

Has meditation helped your PD?
I meditate daily, sometimes a few times a day. I have noticed a decrease in tremors during my periods of meditation. It also helps relieve stress and anxiety that often makes my tremors worse. I usually lay in a fetal position, sometimes I sit. I use candles and incense and use a relaxation technique of relaxing my body from the soles of my feet to the top of my head. That takes about 7-8 minutes. Then I clear my brain of as much thought as possible and connect with my spirit guides. I do this for about 10-15 minutes or longer. When I finish, I feel relaxed and refreshed.
I meditate through prayer and visualization. I think about God's Word and His promises and try to visualize myself well doing things I like to do. It brings me peace.
I also meditate through prayer and reading God's Word. I have a peace and feel guidance.
I also meditate daily and like Wordworks practice relaxation and breathing techniques, however i need to stop the mental chatter and worrying that I do normally, so I have recorded myself guiding "meditating me" through a process of freeing up the tension in my muscles etc. It definitely helps a lot sometimes...
OF course nothing helps all the time
