This is me.

"Based on your risk profile, we believe you’re in line behind 23.0 million people across the United States.

When it comes to Minnesota, we think you’re behind 434,200 others who are at higher risk in your state.

And in Ramsey County, you’re behind 53,200 others.

If the line in Minnesota was represented by about 100 people, this is where you’d be standing:

The article continues below the graphic.

346k healthcare workers, 44k in nursing homes, 44k first responders, 1.5M with health risks, You148k other elderly, 168k essential workers, 114k teachers, 22k homeless, 15k prisoners, 648k young adults, 1.3M children, 191k other essential workers, 1.1M others."

Lol, mine as well for the long wait. I'm in no hurry to be a frontline guineapig.

My reading of updated CDC guidelines; If you are over 65, act as though every person under 40 is contagious, avoid all nonessential travel, do not go in any room where every person does not have a mask on. My interpretation, >65 do not have contact with any person -- "and the worst is yet to come."

For sure the USA is producing some pretty scary numbers right now. Looking on target for covid19 to kill more Americans than WW2. It killed more Americans in a day this week than 9/11😟

MBAnderson profile image
MBAnderson in reply to WinnieThePoo

Imagine how berserk we would be and the resources that would be mustered if Al Qaeda were killing 3000 people a day?? If 3000 people per day were dying in airplane crashes, would anybody fly??

pdpatient profile image
pdpatient in reply to MBAnderson

If Al Q had been murdering our people like the virus is as you said, one 9/11 per day, we would have set the world ablaze and ended everything on the planet, along with us. After all, Russia and China won't sit still. I am so mad right now and despondent because it seems like a life here in the USA is of absolutely ZERO value.

We built a memorial for the 9/11 victims. Are we going to build one for the millions who will sadly die due to the China Virus?

My Dad may be vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine next week because he is over 80 and in hospital in the UK

in reply to WinnieThePoo

He's a PWP too, yes?

Hope he's as well as can be.

WinnieThePoo profile image
WinnieThePoo in reply to

Thank you. Yes He's a PWP.

And he's in far better health than he deserves to be, as a PWP with a mended top of femur fracture, involving a general anaesthetic we vowed never to let him have again. A fracture resulting from a fall whilst carrying a cup of tea, he had to make, to my Mum. An action which involved him walking without the walker he needs, because one arm is in a sling with a fractured collar bone, from a fall sustained, making a cup of tea for my Mum, cos he refuses to sit in a chair, because he doesnt like to feel useless

As well as can be expected in those circumstances...

😕

He will be just fine. May God bless your Dad and your family.

Wise decision. The guardians from the mission in Pleiades have counselled against it, and I don't think Mr Ed's a big fan

Despite the track record of star's predictions, because your dad is in the hospital, the odds are Covid would get to him a lot sooner than harm from a vaccination.

Interesting, is Parkinsons considered a co morbidity? Without counting it I was behind 155 million. Counting it I was behind 23 million

MBAnderson profile image
MBAnderson in reply to 1953bullard

I think it is because it causes so many deficiencies and imbalances. You're 23,000,001, then I am 23,000,002.

pdpatient profile image
pdpatient in reply to 1953bullard

Immediately qualifies for State Short Term Disability in good ol' California.

Yes, PD is the most visible disease, which attracts the most amount of loathing! It's time that our plight is better understood.

Michael Fox was and is good for Parkinsonian awareness. But we're still not well enough understood. People make other assumptions about us, forcing an earlier disclosure or a " coming out" that if carried through, comes with it's own set of issues.

MBAnderson profile image
MBAnderson

Me, I am going to get a vaccination as soon as possible.

1953bullard profile image
1953bullard in reply to MBAnderson

Me too. In fact I was in the moderna trial so I may have already been vaccinated

MBAnderson profile image
MBAnderson in reply to 1953bullard

The way I look at it is, if the vaccination causes harm, we don't know how long it will take for that harm to show up or how harmful it will be, but if you are in my cohort, 74 years old with PD, Covid is certain death.

SonarsMom profile image
SonarsMom in reply to 1953bullard

Thank you for volunteering to be in the trial. Unless folks like you do this, there would never be a vaccine.

pdpatient profile image
pdpatient in reply to MBAnderson

Marc, you are already a trailblazer and brave enough to undergo permanently altering FUS. Pro don't realize how much of a huge role that state of mind, general disposition, courage and enormous amounts of TRUST.

I'm not surprised that you would volunteer to be in front of the line, based on how you approach these things.

Rhetorical Question is: do we trust that no corners were cut and there is ZERO shenanigans involved? Donald Trump was breathing down the necks of the Pharma CEO's and I bet that they learned a thing or two..

I find it interesting and absorption suspicious that a couple of days after Moderna announced that it's vaccine is 100% effective in prevention of severe disease. Pfizer's announcement/re-annoucement trying to match Moderna's is pathetic

I will not get the Trump Vaccine (aka Trumpian Vaccine) until the last of the Mohicans ( Americans)🤣😊😏 get theirs.

I hear you.

I am so, so disappointed about how many top level gov't officials have bent to White House pressure, to include heads of FDA & CDC, but there is an independent panel of scientists not beholding to any gov't agency or person who has the final say so. Plus, if there were to be widespread issues, they would have shown up in the 40,000 volunteers. That's a huge cohort.

I was hoping the AMA would take away Redfield's medical license, although he's been better this past week.

PS. I don't see the risk to permanently lesioning 1 mm of an over excited signaling pathway. What do you imagine the drawback to be? It's not like there will be some therapy that cures PD by affecting that pathway in my lifetime.

Silvestrov/Rich sent me this link this morning since it's relevant to this Covid thread, I thought I'd repost it. As usual for him there is an encyclopedia of information here.

MBAnderson

Somebody please explain this to me.

A few years ago in the very Northwestern edge of Minnesota the Red River overflowed and forced 30,000 people out of their homes in Grand Forks. The Red Cross dispatched a dozen huge semi trucks with emergency tents and equipment and didn't even bother to unpack because all 30,000 people were taken in by their neighbors.

Example #2. In central Minnesota in the small town of Mora, population of 5000, a young boy disappeared and within 2 hours, over 5000 people showed up to search.

Yet both these communities are being ravaged by Covid because throughout rural Minnesota people are objecting to wearing masks.

What happened to taking care of each other?

NellieH profile image
NellieH in reply to MBAnderson

DJT happened.

Good morning, Marc. You surely meant SEMIs as in Semi -Trucks, instead of SEMITES. Autocorrect messed up your typing, I guess.

MBAnderson profile image
MBAnderson in reply to pdpatient

Ha. Yeah, the Red Cross didn't bring up truck loads of Semites. Voice recognition software and bad editing strikes again.

Marc, it's giving the exact same top line number for me. 23 million ahead of me. I am going to guess that once you have Parkinson's or diabetes or anything else that is a pre-existing condition, you are going to be pretty much put in the same boat.

in reply to pdpatient

You'd think diabetes and PD would give you a nice little boost up the rankings.

ParlePark profile image
ParlePark in reply to pdpatient

It’s not a trump vaccine or a Biden vaccine. IMHO anyone who listens to a politician or relates to them regarding vaccines are naive. I was on a zoom while back with Dr Fauci discussing the parameters and requirements the FDA must adhere to. Gave me a lot more confidence after listening to him. Best to all.

pdpatient profile image
pdpatient in reply to ParlePark

ParlePark, point well taken. However, I see Prez Trump summoning the FDA chief to the White House after the election and asks him to come in despite the FDA chief being in quarantine and it raises alarm bells.

MBAnderson profile image
MBAnderson in reply to pdpatient

Why oh why are these people (Dr, Hahn) so weak? Because Trump has figured out he needs to appoint weak people.

Despe profile image
Despe in reply to MBAnderson

Joe will appoint the best people for the right jobs. :) :) Be patient, Marc. Everything will run perfectly under joe.

pdpatient profile image
pdpatient in reply to ParlePark

ParlePark, this just occurred to me as I am again watching Dr Fauci on almost every channel and he is back with his trademark, confident and reassuring gusto. Something feels different and better about him this time. He seems to be totally honest and unrestrained, and it is quite obvious that he has been let off his leash by Prez Trump.

What are the odds that one day after the nation recovers from the pandemic, Dr. Fauci gets the Nobel prize, not for medicine, but for peace?

The unfortunate thing is that a substantially large portion of the American people have just a basic high school education. I know that they teach what the word "exponential" means, but don't realize or understand why that word is so deadly. From math alone it looks more likely that 2 million Americans will be dead after all of this messed up response to the virus.

Hey guys you have it backwards , me thinks... You are in the top 1/10 th of the population, if you have 350 or so million people in the Continental states... up here at 71 yrs, open heart surgery 6 + yrs ago and PD,,,, wife and I are in that never never zone,.... we have to be >75 to ring the bell.

pdpatient profile image
pdpatient in reply to Sapeye2020

Sapeye, if you have PD, no matter what age you are, puts you in the immune compromised category. Along with the co-morbidities that you mention, you don't need to "ring" the bell. It has already been rung for you in your favor. :)

Hi & good morning, ChrisWF. The moderator reached out to me and requested that I edit the comments. After reading what you said, and after getting the moderators message, I immediately deleted all associated comments. You can delete your responses as well since they are orphans now. Your points are understood and point well taken. I have not reinvestigated Michel after your comments. I believe you and I will research again later. Using my iPhone for everything these days was a bad idea.

I must get off my lazy butt and start working increasingly more on my desktops and laptops because the mobile apps are not fully developed. I ran facial recognition through my phone and did not find a match. His profile was presented to me as a possible fraud. He never responded to me and that made me more suspicious.

Thanks buddy. I owe you one.

Sorry, I forgot to flesh out my comment, so to be clearer I added that I'm in Canada, but most important is that we live in an area that is very clean of CoViD locally, pop. ~ 15 _20,000 , with the handful of cases (3) coming from outside (visitors) . Because of that we see this area could be bypassed (delayed) in the roll out of the vaccines. As far as we know the Province has yet to finalize the plan.
