Still dealing with Achilles tendinopathy

The podiatrist says the spike of bone pushing on the Achilles from beneath is the cause of the ankle pain. But surgery removed the spike and the PRP so far hasn't helped. A closer look at the radiograph shows calcium deposits in the joint capsule. Nothing to do with PD, likely it's plain old arthritis due to age.

I went in to have bone spurs surgically removed from my heel and the bone spurs were actually shredding my Achilles tendon. So I ended up having my Achilles tendon repaired at the same time. Tricky stuff, but years later I am pain-free even if my toe doesn’t work correctly. (The doctor had to use a tendon that works my big toe to do the repair.) Hope you’re feeling better!

It's been over a month since surgery. Eccentric exercise seems to help. Still not healed but not bad enough to need narcotics.
