This is very interesting :

"Without any barriers, 67 percent of the healthy animals contracted the infection. When the scientists covered the healthy hamsters’ cage with surgical masks, the infection rate dropped to just 33 percent. What’s more, covering the cage of the infected rodents instead (of the cage of the healthy ones) reduced the spread of the virus to just 17 percent"

So, wearing a mask to prevent being infected does work, even if less effective than when the infected people wears it. That’s not what we have been told...

Problem is, at least in this country, it's become a symbol of the culture wars. I posted a video of non-mask wearers intentionally coughing and spitting on mask wearers, (but then deleted it.)

You can say you heard it here. I predict the non-mask wearers, being the self-righteous, self absorbed, self-important, selfish people that they are, and especially the aggrieved class , will begin shooting mask wearers. I believe it may have already happened. Whatever, it will happen frequently over the next 6 to 12 months.

How's that as a barometer of how seriously f*cked up this country is?

So..... one hampster study has decided it for you........

That's a lot of nasty assumptions, Marc, Most of what I have read from scientists I trust, say not to wear a mask. I do not wear a mask and I am not self-rightous, nor self absorbed and I truly care about other people.

Dr. Russell Blaylock warns that not only do face masks fail to protect the healthy from getting sick, but they also create serious health risks to the wearer. The bottom line is that if you are not sick, you should not wear a face mask.

"With the advent of the so-called COVID-19 pandemic, we have seen a number of medical practices that have little or no scientific support as regards reducing the spread of this infection. One of these measures is the wearing of facial masks, either a surgical-type mask, bandana or N95 respirator mask. When this pandemic began and we knew little about the virus itself or its epidemiologic behavior, it was assumed that it would behave, in terms of spread among communities, like other respiratory viruses. Little has presented itself after intense study of this virus and its behavior to change this perception."

bepo,

Au contraire, there' hard data now from all over the world and I just saw a report from Washington University which reported data on mask wearing and the data shows that it reduces the spread.

The CDC has not contorted their advice on mask wearing because of big Pharma.

You, then, are the rare person who doesn't wear a mask because you're selfish, but you are misinformed in this, too.

Is there any mainstream medical advice, like antibiotics for bacterial infection, that you agree with?

The mainstream media does not allow for other points of view, which , for the most part are censured. This is what happened in nazi and communist communities. One mainstream narrative.

I have read many reports that say the masks are crazy! I don't believe I am misinformed. I look outside of mainstream reporting. They all say the same.

This is the flu! The number of deaths have been manipulated. Doctors have to change death cirtificates to indicate it was Covid-19, even when, let's say, it was alcohol poisoning that was the cause. Over 1 million deaths a year are caused all around the world due to traffic accidents. Let's put this in perspective! At the same time, every death is a tragedy.

Where we live, we had 5 cases in the whole county of 40,000 , all resolved. We live in a rural area. Some people wear masks; some don't. We need to develop herd immunity, as has happened with every other corona virus. I am also in the age group, but very healthy, that is most at risk. I have had one cold since 1998, when my mother died. George has never had a cold or flu since the 8 years we have been together. I build up my immune. I would never take a flu vaccine, or any other vaccines. They have never been studied for safety.

My son developed what the doctors thought was appendicitis. The doctors wanted to take out his appendix, which is part of the immune.. He asked my advice. I told him it could easily be a parasite, and to ask the doctors give him antibiotics, which kill off all bacteria, both good and bad. I also suggest that he get good probiotics into his body while he was taking the antibiotics. He ate kimchee, sauerkraut, kombucha.

I do not believe in antibiotics. I have read many studies where they interfere with your innate immune. I would not uase an antibiotic unless all other methods I am aware of, didn't work. Ozone kills bacteria. Why would I poison my body, when I have a method that has been in use in the US since 1980's with great success.

Trump's new line is that the numbers are being artificially inflated by everyone participating (every university, the health department in both Republican and Democratic states, every hospital, every doctor, every person) just make him look bad.

Above you said, "... the so-called covert 19 pandemic..." and "I do not believe antibiotics..."

So now what, the pandemic is not real. It's all fake news?

This is where I get off this train.

If we cannot both agree the sky is blue, there is no point in talking to each other.

Sorry, I'm done.

Funny. This isn not a partisian issue. I am a democrat.

Is it really a Pandemic? Or, is it a serious case of the flu? Why did Deborah Birx state the number of cases had been inflated?

Of course mask wearing reduces spread. Why do we cover our mouths when we sneeze or cough? Common sense.

As for the scientific support for the use of face mask, a recent careful examination of the literature, in which 17 of the best studies were analyzed, concluded that, “ None of the studies established a conclusive relationship between mask/respirator use and protection against influenza infection.”1 Keep in mind, no studies have been done to demonstrate that either a cloth mask or the N95 mask has any effect on transmission of the COVID-19 virus. Any recommendations, therefore, have to be based on studies of influenza virus transmission. And, as you have seen, there is no conclusive evidence of their efficiency in controlling flu virus transmission. Dr. Russel Blaylock.

Why does every single surgeon in every single hospital in every single country wear a mask every single time they perform surgery?

bepo profile image
bepo in reply to MBAnderson

From everything I have read, that is the only place where wearing a mask is important. You have an open wound there. If someone sneezed or coughed into the wound, bacteria and viruses could enter.

Since everyone wears a mask in Taiwan, the flu season in Taiwan ended very early. Since the last SARS outbreak, majority of it happened in Taiwan, the Taiwanese have been getting ready for a plague for the last 17 years. They did an excellent job. They did it with testing and wearing masks.

bepo in reply to parkie13

Interesting. How reliable were the tests they used? Here in the US, so far , the tests have not been reliable.

I don't know. It seems like in us, nobody wants to step up to the plate and be at the helm of testing. And that is what we really really need to get a handle on this.
