Slowly but Surely, the USA Inches Toward Stem Cell Trials

Aspen Neuroscience, the company founded in 2018 by Dr. Jeanne Loring to bring her research to market, has raised $70 million in funding, which will be used to complete the work required for FDA approval and initiation of a clinical trial. The company plans to treat the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease by replacing the lost dopamine neurons with autologous (DNA-matching) dopamine neurons created from the person’s own cells.

I understand that there are already trials underway in Japan and Australia. I posted this because I have been (and still am) eager to see them started in my home country.
