Hello. Today went with my dad to a neuro appointment. He's had Parkinson's for 5 years, tremor dominant. Nothing helped with tremors so far. He is on Rytary now.Today doctor gave my dad samples of Horizant. I googled it , and this medicine is used for RLS. I've never heard of this medicine used for Parkinson's. Has anyone tried it for their Parkinson's? Thank you so much.

"The main advantage of Horizant is that it is a “pro-drug”of gabapentin. Technically it’s gabapentin enacarbil, and the “enacarbil” refers to a molecule added to the drug which allows it to be absorbed along the entire GI tract, resulting in greater blood levels for a longer period of time"
