Heads up... vitacost has buy one get one 50% off

Until1/6.

Time to stock up?

I’m thinking of adding this k2 complex to the mix after watching yesterday’s podcast on vitamin k2.

Hardy’s daily essential nutrients has k2 in it ( 3 x 45 mcg per day) but the podcast suggests the benefits from it require at least 320 per day and this vitacost product is very strong

I have just bought Solgar K2 (7) in 100 mcg softgel tabs. I guess we will need to take 3 per day...or are you mean to take K1 as well? That is a complex tablet above combining both...now a bit confused. I will need to listen to podcast again 😉

I’m not sure. I think the k2 7 is the important one, and the other ones the body converts if it is able. I think your one should do the job, but I just mentioned the above as it was a good price and on the vita cost bogo 50% off special. I am not necessarily recommending it yet as we haven’t tried it, but it seems to have good feedback, although sometimes I suspect it’s just because people like the price and speed it arrives, and not because it works!

You're right, K2 MK-7 is the most beneficial for PwP. My husband is taking K1 but I will add K2 MK-7. K1, in its liquid form for better absorption, is by Biotics Research. I was looking for K2 same brand as it was recommended by Dr. Mischley (D3 though), but they don't have K2. I finally decided on Easy Melts: amazon.com/EZ-Melts-Menaqui...

Thanks! I thought though in the podcast it says that K1 is readily available in green Vegas and K2 is only manufactured in the gut? I wish there was a definate recommendation as to what to take...so confusing.

I agree.

More recent research seems to indicate it is vitamin K1 rather than K2 that is needed. This is an excellent product because it has everything - K1 and both forms of K2. I take this one or an equivalent by another manufacturer.

Oh well, at least this is covering all bases! Wish they’d make up their minds😊. Do you have the paper on that? Thanks.

Hey there park_bear. I have very recently been learning about the wonders of vitamin K2. I've been reading the book Vitamin K2 and the Calcium Paradox, and I have been quite impressed. However, I'm really glad that I saw your Daily Kos piece above just now. It's led me to comments questioning the superiority of the mk-7. Other people argue that mk-4 is better because it gets more distributed in the body, rather than staying in the blood. I'm about to buy some Carlson Labs Vitamin K2 MK-4, 5mg, which seem to have very good reviews.

EDIT: I'm returning to your first Daily-Kos article, and I see that for YOU, mk-7 worked better. Fair enough. I will probably try to take both.

As I mention in the piece I take a combo with both versions of vitamin K 2+ vitamin K-1, currently :

Some research showing K-1 is necessary and other research showing K2 is necessary so I take both.

I think you meant to ask parkbear? I think he must be referring to the vitacost one I said I’m ordering above in my post.

Yes I was referring to the Vitacost vitamin K product at the link at the top.
