Whole body tremor?

I've gone to the local gym for 35 years. Always at lunchtime. I do my exercises quickly, I don't sit and chat with people, I work fast so I can get it all done and get back to work. I always get a whole body tremor while exercising. It has always happened during the workout. I always thought it was adrenaline. I have a dominant hand tremor. It doesn't affect me, I barely notice it. But while exercising it turns into a monster waving and slashing like it has a mind of its own. Any ideas?

TIA,

kpo

Stress of trying to rush?? Any kind of stress makes my symptoms worse. Or stress/fatigue of your muscles working hard? That happens to some at Rock Steady, but after awhile they feel better.

My tremors def increase near the end of a strenuous workout and last for a bit after finishing.

My left-hand tremors are also worse after getting tired. However, I pick up my feet better after using a stationary bicycle.

Using an elliptical trainer let's you keep you hands secured (by gripping) the bars...it reduces the tremor while working out.

I only have left hand tremors at rest, not when working out, but mine are mild at this point. Elliptical makes you pick up your feet, so it probably helps walking.

Thanks for the replies. Dr Mercola recommends an elliptical trainer. I'll have to try it instead of the treadmill just to see whether it's worth it.

Hi,

an elliptical trainer exercise is more demanding, because it involves the whole body. It is harder. For me I can only last for 2.5mins, before I run out of oxygen and my legs start to hurt.It is worth it,if sustainable.

Stationary bicycle is also good; the exercises that want you to pick up your feet; even marching. My neurologist said don't use a treadmill.

Getting worse at work. Had two canine spays this AM. One is a long-time neighbor. The twitchiness made it hard to thread a surgical needle. I knew things would get worse eventually, I guess I should be happy nothing bad happened. Fear makes the twitchiness a lot worse. Second spay is aggressive so we're waiting for morphine to kick in before taking him to surgery.

Second surgery went better than the first even though it was a middle aged dog with a lot of fat around her middle. Maybe meds were kicking in between the two surgeries.

I respond the same way to stress. Pushing to physical limits while training is a good healthy practice but it is a stress and it makes me shake too. It goes away when recovering and I feel better the rest of the day.

Can you change when timing if your meds so they are at peak effectiveness when you are at the gym? I always take extra before sport.
