Tremor came on me just after I swallowed Meds and lasted between 35 minutes to 8 hours anyone experience this? Happened while I was on Sinimet which I since change to Rytary.. but now I'm getting feeling like the tremor is blocking my air supply. Very scary...

Also immediately after taking the medication I have excess saliva in my mouth

Anyone else experience these symptoms

The "tremors" that you describe might be something called Dyskinesia. It is difficult to distinguish between the Parkinson's tremor and the Dyskinesia tremor which actually is very violent. I have experienced that and it is due to too much Rytary or Sinemet.

What are you taking for Dyskinesia

Nothing. Just take less medication or better still, skip the next dose. You might suffer with tremors again, which in this case is Parkinson's tremor, but at the end of it (about an hour), you will be actually feel better.

That's how I feel anyways when I experience it. Unfortunately the disease is full of paradoxical experiences and there are some good times and some bad times. As park bear said earlier, nothing really cures the condition. All that you are doing is trying to get some relief from the symptoms, temporarily. It makes sense that the most sensible thing to do would be to stop taking the medication if you start hurting more, doesn't it?

After a few years, you are going to learn to live with the package😁

Yes my husband had this and it seemed to be improved making sure he didn’t eat any food or milky drink for half an hour after taking sinemet.

Yes. Another piece of the puzzle! I have actually had more benefits by abstaining from food one hour before and after. The body is more forgiving early on in the disease. As you get further into the years after diagnosis, you have to do more to get the same benefits. I now have to fast for the entire day!

Not everything is bad about the disease, I might say and I don't mean flippantly. All that fasting has brought my weight way down and I am fully in control of my diabetes. My last labs came back all normal.

Wow that’s great!

Yes indeed. I like to say nowadays that Parkinson's has literally saved life! I have zero self control over food😁

Diabetes is a killer. Parkinson's isn't.
