Focused Ultrasound

Good morning all, I came across some research articles and videos on focused ultrasound. Any thoughts or information on this? Thanks!

Hi Rwor, I have been looking at Focussed Ultrasound for my Wife who was diagnosed 2016, the videos I have seen of people who have had the procedure looks fantastic, we asked her neurologist about it and she said save your money, but I have emailed a hospital in Barcelona this morning to see if my wife would be a suitable patient for the procedure, will let you know their response

Hi Vicky! Welcome! I just came across this intervention I wasn’t too sure about it so that’s one of the reasons why I posted the topic! To me the most beneficial part of it is that it is not invasive and it’s from an external source as opposed to something being imbedded into the brain which is very hopeful and helpful.

Great article! Only question is even though this means that the tremors go away what does it do to help for dopamine reuptake? I am assuming that you still have to take things to keep the dopamine levels high.

I’m planning on having it in Switzerland. Search for my thread about it. I posted loads of information. The Swiss clinic is the best place in my opinion.

I will definitely do that. What did you understand my concern about the fact that even though it may take away the tremors what about your dopamine levels?

I don’t have a tremor. That’s why I’m going to Switzerland. They treat Parkinson’s not just tremor.
