I was hospitalized for food poisoning about six months before I was diagnosed with Parkinson's. Next step is checking my genome.

This study is in a preliminary stage and further research is needed to couple with any association cases like yours . But personally, you need to follow your ordinary Treatment Course . Hope you Well !

Rolling my eyes as reading these "new" discoveries. Didn't we know about it (gut-brain connection) for at least last ten years?

Yes, We know any connection b/w Brain - gut , But any new discovery comes step- by step Through Research & Understanding their complex network .

This differs from the newly posted one is that , it wholly examines the relationship b/w gut-Brain . But this specifically focuses on with the presence of Autoimmune reaction which could play a role in developing PD in the case of Infection .
