What is the difference between Carbidopa and Benserazide?

I get major dystonia from Levodopa Carbidopa. I am thinking of asking my neurologist to switch to Benserazide.

Does Levodopa Benserazide cause dyskinesia and dystonia?

I took mucuna pruriens for a few months. I tried quite a few products but never got reduction of motor symptoms.

I now want to test combination of B1 and levodopa meds as I have been reading it's what seems to work for most pwp.

Maybe just try pure levodopa without any additive like carbidopa.

I had problems with Carbidopa, but no problem at all with Benserazide. As their role is to assist with adsorption of the L Dopa, i would say , if you have problems with one, try the other

I had diarrhea with malaise, abdo pain and anorexia. As I was in Costa Rica, I thought I might have caught some kind of tropical GI bug. So a year later I tried again, with the same effect. Changing to Prolopa, (Madopar) starting with a very small dose, 25/100 tid, increasing by one tablet every week, I have had no troubles but a real improvement of gait.

I should warn you of the problem of drawing conclusions from the experience of one person (Which is the main defect of this website)

CBD oil..... with some THC. The stuff you can get from places like GNC doesn't cut it for me. (might as well wring out an old wet rope)
