The article is more than 2 years old, but here's an encouraging update. 😊

Thanks, Jim. And I noticed that it Plainly says in that website article, “...studies have shown that delivering neurotrophic factor to the brain not only promotes the survival of neurons but also reverses the progression of Parkinson’s disease.” And we already know that Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factors (BDNF proteins) are already found in the brain (that's what "brain derived" means!).

So why should we have to wait until these PHD investigators spend/waste millions of dollars and years of experimenting on ways to bring more neurotrophic factors across the brain barrier, when they're already being created there, by the brain? It seems to me that their time and money would be better spent in discovering improved ways to enhance the natural production and stimulate the activity of these proteins in the brain, through diet, exercise, rest, etc.

It seems to be the same old story of 'brain washing' (no pun intended) the people into believing that we cannot depend on natural healing, but must wait for 'science' to come up with the solution. I recall, back in the 1970's, the natural healers were teaching that immunology was the key for curing cancer, while the first thing that the established 'medicine men' did to treat cancer was to destroy the immune system through chemotherapy and radiation. Any MD that was caught using natural means to treat cancer was labeled as a quack, immediately lost his/her license to practice, and was sometimes even jailed, even when their method cured the condition!

However, today that Iron Curtain of Applied Ignorance is gradually being lifted from the minds of the people, and the MD's are finally being pressured into recognizing and using True Science, instead of using the fake/pseudo science that is promoted by the pharmaceutical industry, as they maintain their financial control over the AMA and the medical schools.

Think of the millions of people that have died of cancer, just to fill the coffers of the cancer researchers and specialists, people who could have been cured, just as this brave doctor has demonstrated -

Although she has proven her point, the AMA carcenogenesists and their supporters still dismiss all such practicioners as 'quacks', and their proven cures as 'quackery'. cancertutor.com/lorraineday/

We already have a self healing growth factor GDNF, Glial Derived Neurotrophic Factor. Which, as the name suggests is produced by the glial cells themselves. Why do we need to manufacture a neuron to do the same job?

Why not find a way to get the brain to produce more natural GDNF?

I believe that walking fast, which is not natural because if we are in a hurry we would naturally run. When we walk fast I believe it produces the 'Fight or Flight condition that makes the brain produce GDNF.

I have managed to reverse my Pd by doing fast walking and been Pd medication-free since 2002. I know that puts no money into the drug industry pockets but as a Pd patient it is available right now and it costs nothing to do. I think that is good news for Pd patients, don't you?

Thanks for all that Tarz. I have spent the past 40 minutes listening to somebody who shares my views on the tyranny of the Drugs Industry. I would not like to be without many of the medicines they make but they are out of control and need to be treated with great caution.
