High Cholesterol, High Triglycerides, High Blood Pressure and Atherosclerosis: A Potential Remedy?

PWPs seem to have a myriad of health issues in conjunction with PD. Four very common ones are atherosclerosis (AS), high blood pressure (HBP), high triglycerides (HT) and high cholesterol (HC). Wouldn't it be great if there were one supplement that could potentially treat all four problems at the same time while having a very good safety profile and possibly offering other health benefits? Well, you may just be in luck!

These PD comorbidities are fairly common in the general population also, so this may be useful information for many people. The supplement that has shown the potential to do all of the above and more is readily available, not too expensive and easy to take! The supplement is Nattokinase (NK), an enzyme derived from natto, a common food base in the Japanese diet.

Starting with atherosclerosis, the following study highlights the ability of NK to reduce the plaque buildup associated with atherosclerosis and could possibly be used as an alternative for statins which come with a grocery shopping list of potential side effects while NK comes with the potential for many other potential health benefits. :

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/287...

This next study shows that a relatively low dose of NK can lower blood pressure readings in an 8 week study using just 2,000 fibrinolytic units (FU) per day.

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/189...

This more recent study tends to confirm the study above , again using only 2,000 FU per day for 8 weeks to lower blood pressure :

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...

This next abstract suggest that 6,000 FU of NK could lower total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, plaque deposit area and triglycerides while raising HDL cholesterol more effectively than Simvastatin!

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/287...

This next full study goes into more detail about how NK can improve all four health conditions as well as improve mortality from Cardiovascular disease:

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...

There are many more studies discussing NK and its benefits, but the four above are so common in PD and the general population and NK seems to potentially offer a reasonable option to statins with the added potential for other health benefits. Just do a little reading on the health benefits of NK and you may agree! Obviously because of potential conflicts with your current meds or health conditions, you should definitely not try NK without your doctor's consent and supervision!

Happy Saturday to everyone!

I follow your posts with great respect, Art. But this seems just too good to be true.

Nonetheless I am going to dig into it. And thanks anyway.

Xenos,

Thank you very much for the compliment!

Please keep us updated on what you find regarding Nattokinase (NK). I think you are going to be pleasantly surprised that although these 4 health conditions could potentially be treated with the single supplement, NK, the potential benefits do not end there! Here is another study suggesting that NK may also be useful against Alzheimer's disease! Given the very good safety profile, ease of use as well as easy availability, it certainly seems worthy of consideration! This is just the tip of the ice berg in terms of what NK has to offer in terms of potential health benefits!

I have researched and written about this matter extensively.

Hardening of the arteries, otherwise known as atherosclerosis or arteriosclerosis, results from the deposition of calcium into the artery walls, and other places, as result of the lack of the machinery to get calcium out of the bloodstream and into the bones, were it belongs. Calcium deposition in the arteries is a cardiovascular disease risk factor that is independent of lipid status.

One of the key cogs in this machine to get calcium wherein belongs is vitamin K. There some disagreement in the research literature as to whether it is vitamin K1 or K2 that is the essential one. Natto is rich in vitamin K2. Vitamin D and minerals silica and boron are also important for this calcium transport.

My writings on the subject:

Most of these problems respond very well with curcumin homeopathic remedy in mother tincture 5 drops in a glass of water twice per day . One need not stop the medicines prescribed by the doctor of modern medicine .

These may be helpful in looking at Nattokinase: researchgate.net/publicatio...

What brand and where do you buy it?

Although Nattokinase (NK) has shown itself to be useful for the purpose of lowering high cholesterol, high triglycerides, high blood pressure and atherosclerosis, the benefits don't just stop there!

In the link below, NK is also shown to be beneficial in the reduction of nasal polyps as well as being able to thin mucus! Let the health benefits begin!!! 😊
