I have used senna tea but now make Kombucha using green tea which controls candida overgrowth, maintains healthy gut flora, is an antioxidant and ultimately improves movement of bowels.

Thanks so much ? remember the person said if you wanted to add licorice root to it, you better not be far from a bathroom.

In Walmart or grocery stores or health food store you can buy tea called Smooth Move. It does use herbs + standardized Senna . It's a mild constipation relief tea. I don't remember the one that you are asking about.

You could double the tea bag or you could try some Swiss Kriss pills.

Dandelion Root tea with meals stimulates the release of digestive enzymes by the body and has a mild and gentle effect on promoting bowel movement. I like Traditional Medicines Roasted Dandelion Root. It has a bitter taste similar to coffee. drugs.com/npp/dandelion.html

Note: This website is looking at this herb as a drug and so the warning that it could be toxic refers to taking more than a "food" amount which is 2-3 cups per day with meals. Theoretically, you could get too many good-for-you minerals if you drank it all day. :)

6 oz glass of prune juice

followed by strong hot clear regular black tea

every 8 hrs until movement

then once a day

Exercise every day , increase fibre: fruit , oats, raw vegetables, go for a long walk in the fresh air and when you start to feel better all around, drop the Prune juice.

Worked for me

Much better than being in Emerg. waiting for treatment for Compaction. You dont want that. you dont even want to know how they treat it.
