Vitacost Vitamin B-1 - out of stock??

Vitacost Vitamin B-1 -- 500 mg is out of stock since quite a long time. Any good (out of experience...) alternatives please..??

I use B1 Pure bulk powder from Blackburn Distributors. I do believe they deliver overseas. Best B1 I have come across, also there are no fillers. blackburndistributions.com

I don't see in the description that it is thiamine HCL.

If you click on certificate of analysis it states it’s vitamin b1 thiamine hcl powder

Thanks, I looked at the certificate but didn't see that. If the vitacost brand stays out of stoock I may go to the bulk powder. Luckily I bought plenty of the vitacost because it was on sale at the time. But I'm already almost through my 2nd of 3 bottles.

I am surprised to discover that our aggregate demand is affecting the market. Last February I bought 1 kg of Purebulk brand thiamine HCl powder from Amazon for $81. Today it is priced at $168.

I wonder if Vita cost is delaying manufacturing more capsules of thiamine due to awaiting the price of bulk powder to subside. If their cost of bulk powder has doubled they would have to increase their price likewise and they may figure that would not sell. Someone who is sufficiently motivated might want to get in touch with them to discuss the matter.

If you choose to buy thiamine in powder form be aware it is extremely bitter. I chose to put in capsules which is a tedious job even with a 400 capsule jig to mass-produce them.

It can be put into black currant juice which takes the bitterness away , after a while you just become accustomed to it, my husband drinks his without any difficulty, he couldn’t swallow the capsules , I started emptying the capsules before I bought the bulk powder , 4 x500g capsules only contain about 1.75g powder so that’s how much bulk powder I put in his drink rather than 2g 😀

large quantities of thiamin are used in the enological industry(bier and wine), product is identical. it influences the market even more.

Found 300 mg of hcl through GNC. Going out today to get some as haven't been able to order through Vitacost. Not as many fillers as Vitacost's brand. Just have to take more pills :-(.
