with PD we also may have other conditions that require medications.

in my experience the best medical professional to prescribe meds that help other issues without contraindications to necessary PD meds is the psychiatrist. PD is a brain disorder and so are depression and sleep. also the psychiatrist has a 50 minute appointment with you and has time to hear exactly how you are doing. when you see the psychiatrist one week and discuss your symptoms ask that by your next appointment they will have researched and determined the best meds to take along side your PD meds.

drugs are a minefield ..Valsartan my blood pressure med recalled as causes cancer.

You make it sound to simple. I've taken 28 different anti depressants from all classes and they either did not work or the side effects were so bad it was impossible to continue. New research has proven anti depressants have a low success rate and can also be counterproductive.

PD is an insidious disease. Been on antidepressant cpl yrs which helped some. Learned another non-motor symptom APATHY (lack of motivation) is mistakenly diagnosed/treated as DEPRESSION. B1 therapy 3-4 mos now 2.5-3 gms giving good results for apathy as well as other non-motor (fatigue, constipation, handwriting, smell) issues. So thankful for day I stumbled across HU and Dr Costatini’s B1therapy wisdom.
