Restore Gold Video

There's a reason I studied the "soft sciences" and not chemistry, biology, or anatomy, etc., but I find this video, and many testimonials, to be quite convincing. I'm only 3 months post diagnosis and I'm happy with Vitamin B1, B3, and D supplements, but I'm adding Restore Gold as well. I'm admittedly not a scientist, but these ingredients make sense to me and I love that it tries to address the root causes of PD and not just the symptoms. Here's a short video regarding the science:

It's a good video. A competent description. They have chosen 5 ingredients that I already take, meaning I believe each to have data good enough for me to spend $$ on them and I'm not unhappy with my progression.

The only reason (for me) to take Restore Gold would be if their dose was comparable to what I feel is right for me and if it is less expensive than each supplement individually.

I feel their claim of success is more than I would make (if I owned the product) because there are some on this forum who take those ingredients and don't feel they get the expected results.

I pay little attention to testimonials, not that I doubt those were authentic, I believe they were, but because they cherry pick the best.

Hi, what concentration of the tudca are you taking? It is the only ingredient that jumps out as a bit different.

MBAnderson profile image
MBAnderson in reply to LAJ12345

LAJ,

It varies between 250 mg and 500 mg/day, depending on my mood. When I'm feeling cheap, I take one capsule and when I am feeling wealthy, I take 2.

I've been buying Nutricost for a couple years.

Mmm at 67c each to take 1200 is about $5 nz per day if that was in usd. Already up to $6 a day on other stuff. Do you think 1-2 make much difference?if I knew it would work for sure I would buy it but something else might have to go.

Hi I'm currently trying this and I'm almost a third of the way through (a three month supply) with no significant effects either way.

Although the company does say any benefits are likely to come a bit further down the line.

The support from the company is excellent... The only downside was an £90gbp import tax bill 😢

I'll keep the forum posted.

Thanks for tax warning for uk imports. What does actual product cost?

Hi, cost as I recall was about £180.. Not cheap.

Personally, I don't really expect to notice any benefit from any supplement or compound I take. In order to notice a benefit, it would actually have to diminish symptoms. It may be slowing progression and if it is, there's no way to know that either. Slow, compared to what?

I take stuff based on the data. If you want to see my list, check my profile.

I think you're making an excellent point which is worth repeating, Marc. Even if we feel "nothing", we may be slowing the progression and there's no way to measure that. "Compared to what?", you said. Great point.

Im taking restore gold for 8months now and b1 for 3months now. Happy with the result. It gives back my life. 😊😊😊

in reply to maricor828

Maricor828,

Since you are taking both, can you describe the benefit you think you are getting from each one as well as dosages?

Thank you!

I was looking at it last night again wondering if it is worth it. The TUDCA component is really expensive to buy on its own, at least from in New Zealand and is in quite a high dose. MbAnderson are you taking such a high dose of that component? All the rest seem pretty common place and cheaper.

I'm ambivalent about it - because of cost. The best price I've found is $1.65/g. ($0.38/count) Data isn't all that robust. I bought a large supply on sale before I took on my current regime. Subscriptions often offer 15% discounts. For the money, there is a lot of stuff with stronger data. I doubt I'll buy it again.

Here's what Simon from S of PD says about it 4/6/18 and, as usual, he draws no conclusion (and he keeps going off on barely relevant, sidebar tangents.) We all understand why he cannot be recommending any of the stuff he writes about - so you have to read between the lines and make up your own mind.

A study; "Ursocholanic acid rescues mitochondrial function in common forms of familial Parkinson’s disease."

(I hope it doesn't need to be said, I'm not claiming the stuff will work for anybody.)

That video was some powerful stuff! Im ALMOST convinced to try it. I wish it were a little less $$$ hard to part with that kind of dough in one chunk although i probably spend that already on supplements. Thinking this through, i wouldn't want to stop taking the things i already take because i know they help and i rely on them. Some ingredients are the same (nac, egcg, L-Tyrosine) as i already take. I'll hold off and wait to hear the reports from the group before i take the plunge, i guess. Thanks you to those who are volunteering to be the Guinea pigs!!

Yes, wondering on adding just the TUDCA but 1200mg per day is a big expense on top of all the others. He has just had another depression dive again today so clutching at straws 😕

I have not taken Restore Gold, although I ordered it. I already take more than 20 supplements and vitamins and I believe I am doing well. At least for now, Restore Gold is my Plan B, but I'd love to hear from people who are taking it.
