Copaiba oil to stop hand shaking..??

dadcor profile image
68 Replies

Copaiba does not contain THC or CBD and is not derived from Cannabis BUT it does replicate the powerful benefits despite this and is legal everywhere. There are plenty of materials in the net and also youtube regarding its effect on tremors, especially hand shaking.. Somebody to share experience with this oil...??

Hi there, please make sure that if you buy essential oils they have 100% traceability to source. According to independent chemical lab, APRC, more than 80% of essential oils on the market are adulterated. With dōTERRA’s Oils, you can type the batch number on the bottom of the bottle in the site: sourcetoyou.com and you will see the detailed independent test results for that batch of oil. They are the only company that offer that. That is why medical professionals only use dōTERRA’s Oils. You can purchase them at mydoterra.com/ychange and choose “Join & Save” to get 25% discount (wholesale prices).

Hello Art, please give me the lowdown on this. Thanks

Ernie,

I have no experience with this particular essential oil, but Dadcor does and it was positive in just three days, so that is probably who you should ask. It seems relatively inexpensive and may be worth a test.

I have been using the copaiba oil since 3 days. The thirth night, I felt a real sense of ease and relaxing throughout my body that I hadn’t felt for a long time. I also felt almost normal, sure body movements, and almost no tremors .... After uptake of 3 drops under the tongue, no gastric problems either. I was also mentally kind of "strong", and I actually went to bed that night feeling satisfied with myself that I had managed with no stress to "do everything I wanted" during the day. Hope it will last..

in reply to dadcor

That sounds like a nice response!

What does the oil taste like and what brand did you use?

With me slight bitter taste, no problem at all. doTerra brand, available everywhere. I stole it from my wife .. :)

Yes, I'm interested in what brand or type. A lot of them are for topical use.

You want a therapeutic grade essential oil. You can also Google Bulk Apothecary for a quality product at a little bit cheaper price.

You can apply topically at the place that is shaking, hands for example, or in the face before a dentist treatment. Watch this video to see the effects in one person: youtube.com/watch?v=NwuHB2y...

I purchased a small bottle. Is it safe to ingest?? Do you take meds also? I only take amantadine...is that ok to mix the two?

Sueberd profile image
Sueberd in reply to Rosabellazita

Rule of aromatherapy do Not ingest essential oils!!!! I buy mine from Edens garden on line. Not multilevel and excellent quality. Get a diffuser necklace and apply it.

Asherah profile image
Asherah in reply to Sueberd

It cannot be that excellent quality if you shouldn't ingest it. ;)

Some oils shouldn't be consumed, but copaiba could be, if it's theraputic quality. Worth to get that one. ;)

It is better and altogether cheaper to buy the real thing.

I notice that even if the certain oil is expensive, not using them or using something "cheaper" would cost eventually more...

DoTERRA is the only brand that has safe to ingest oils. If you have a different brand, do not ingest, and think seriously about applying to your skin, or inhaling it. Many people are ingesting doTERRA's Copaiba, with no side effects, or interactions with meds, every day. I sell them if you want to try a safe to ingest Copaiba essential oil. It has a GRAS (generally regarded as safe), rating, supplement label.

Young Living Essential oils are the only oils I would ingest. I've been safely using them for over 1 1/2 years on the advice of health professionals. Young Living has a complete line of Vitality oils, with have the GRAS (generally regarded as safe), rating label.

The oil is originated in Brazil where it is quite inexpensive. I think that if you are going to use it topically, not ingest it, you may try other brands and see if they work, If you are going to ingest you should be more careful. But the extraction is very simple, indians use it for ages. In the video you can see who indians extract it in Amazon!

Sorry, but I wouldn't want to be a guinea pig. When you use cheap oils, you cannot be sure of the purity. Buying on the internet is not a safe way to buy essential oils. They can so easily be adulterated, or at least cut with carrier oils or other substances.

As an avid user of essential oils (Edens Garden) I have been told by aromatherapy experts that ingesting pure oils is dangerous and over extended use can cause liver damage. Is there a another delivery method that is safer? Diffuser or inhaled?

Rosabellazita profile image
Rosabellazita in reply to Sueberd

Please let me know if you find out

park_bear profile image
park_bear in reply to Sueberd

That depends entirely upon which oil you are talking about. No delivery method will help if the substance is toxic.

danfitz profile image
danfitz in reply to Sueberd

Which oil?

dadcor profile image
dadcor in reply to Sueberd

By digging into the matter, it appears to be just the opposite.. One of the Copaiba's major benefits is that it is used for liver support to improve the liver function.

Sueberd profile image
Sueberd in reply to dadcor

I’m not questioning the benefits of the oil, just delivery method. Ingesting essential oils is considered dangerous unless for a brief period of time under the care of a certified aromatherapist. I am going to make an inhaler and see if it helps. I’d rather be safe than sorry. I don’t buy multilevel oils. I buy mine from edens garden.

Asherah profile image
Asherah in reply to Sueberd

Those arometherapists claim that because they have their knowledge based in the "before doterra" era. :)

No wonder, they would not recommend ingesting, but that was before, and that is with most oils on the market. But there are ones, that are safe to consume.

Buy the real thing and you have nothing to worry about. ;) That definitely worth the price ;)

You may find it here:

I use edens garden oils, not a mlm company. From my research ingesting can be done for a brief time while under the care of a certified aromatherapist. So I would rather be safe not sorry.

They go straight into your body, whichever way you go? Good, or adulterated.. the highest integrity, and best purity tested oils are doTERRA oils, let me know if you want some, I would be glad to help you.

Hello gigiwillms,

I would assume you have tremor and anxieties.

so copaiba did not relief you of tremors or at least reduce your tremors, is that correct?

Asherah profile image

You may add some extra oils (everybody's chemistry is different) or change the frequency or application method. We have several beautiful feedback on copaiba. Don't give up. ;)

Gypsy_Lady profile image
Gypsy_Lady in reply to gigiwillms

I am sorry the oil didn't work for you. Adding Frankincense, will add to it's effects, if you have any.. I have also seen YouTube videos, touting the use of Coconut oil, several tablespoons a day, with good results, as well. Melted in warm water wasn't too bad when I tried it.. of course there were nay sayers, concerned about saturated fats. ♡

Gypsy_Lady profile image
Gypsy_Lady in reply to gigiwillms

Have you used it topically, and taken it for two weeks before deciding? How much did you use? I have seen a YouTube video of someone applying it, and the shaking subsides as it's applied. Sometimes you have to keep looking deeper to find what works for you.

So, after one week I still feel pretty OK. My tremor is reduced and controllable. For the whole week I've used only two tablets Madopar 25/100 and about 30g Zandopa. This is usually my dose per day in the working days. Also I am taking Thiamine since almost two months. No other medications. My dose of Copaiba is two drops into one teaspoon coconut oil per day on empty stomach in the morning. Hope this is not placebo... :)

Grumpy77 profile image

Hello dadcor

Are Zandopa and Madopar prescription drugs or are they available on the Internet?

If Zandopa is available online , is it same as this zanduayurveda.com/products/...

Are you still feeling the positive effects of the copaiba oil? Any negatives?

dadcor profile image
dadcor in reply to Juliegrace

Hi, yes I am still using it. No negatives at all, just the opposite. I have dramatic improvements in all aspects. The “problem” is that I also take Thiamine, and now I cannot firmly say which contributes more, or it is the combination of both.. :)

in reply to dadcor

dadcor,

It's been three months since you updated this. Were you able to determine if it was the copaiba oil or the HDT that was affording you the symptom relief? Is it still working for you?

Art

dadcor profile image
dadcor in reply to

Hi Art, I did stop it for a month just for the sake of safety. Not because I was experiencing any problem, but wanted to just stay on the safe side. In the meanwhile, I also did some adjustments on the Thiamine dose being guided by Dr C. I have the feeling that copaiba kind of influenced the need to reduce my Thiamine dose. Can’t be hundred percent sure but… I can for sure state that during the period, when I was using it I felt noticeably better. I also discovered that rubbing it in my hands together with taking it p.o. increases the effect on the tremor. From February I start again and will update every month..

in reply to dadcor

dadcor,

That is useful information and I look forward to your updates on it!

I have been taking copaiba oil for 4 weeks now as well as other dottera. Supplements am I can say I have noticed a dramatic difference in my mood and tremors I will now up my dose from 4 drops a day to 8

I also have cannabis oil but find the getting the doses correct a bit hit and miss, the copbiaba oil is better to regulate

I use and advise using Copaiba essential oil. It's very effective and not as as costly as CBD. Contact me if I can provide information or referrals.

I would be happy to use Copaiba for tremors but it is really important not to ingest it. All these doterra people who are telling you it’s ok, especially those who are giving links to join through their own site are making massive profits every time you buy from them. I use doterra, I like them but ‘therapeutic grade’ is just something Doterra decided to add as a marketing ploy themselves, and they do test well, but loads of other companies do too and unfortunately all their testing is in house. I also use Penny Price Aromatherapy, excellent oils and a good bit cheaper, and more choice.Probably because some ‘doterra diamond’ isn’t being paid £100,000 plus a year on a pyramid profit making selling scheme. Be wise, be careful. People have died ingesting oils. There are no miracle cures.

Yes it works, my dentist uses it in her Parkinson's clients also to stop the head shaking during the treatment.

Recently, I had a friend who had nystagmus, with unknown cause (involuntary eye shaking), I had the idea to send her two different brazilian brands of copaiba oil because my Do Terra oil had finished, (I am brazilian) she thanked me a lot, she sent me a message saying thanks and told it was the best thing she tried for months and it improved her condition a lot, but she didn't really say the shaking stopped completely. I will ask her more details when I meet her personally and will also try a Copaiba oil from Do Terra to see if there is any difference. But because it is an oil from Amazon, I think any good brazilian brand may work the same!
