Thiamin HCl availability in Australia?

Hi, I am having difficulty buying thiamin HCl that can be shipped to Australia. Are there any Australians using it, and if so, where do they buy it?

Thiamine hcl is a very common product used for many other purposes, for example to solve problems of alcoholism or even for food purposes such as brewing, ( thiamine hcl pure 100%} so I said that maybe turning to good pharmacy they could easily find it available at some of their suppliers . Obviously being able to buy it on the web would be much better. Gio

That’s funny. I just ordered some from vitacost from NZ and it seemed to work ok. I wonder why it doesn’t ship to Aus?

Yes we are in Sydney and we get in online and delivered. My husband orders it so when he gets home I’ll send you the website. We think we may have also found a way to order the the infections but not sure yet. I’ll let you know.

I have been trying to order it from overseas as well with no luck and can't find the reason why the companies can't ship it to us. Anyway, I started Thiamine hcl about a month ago with success. I am feeling more energetic, less rigid etc. I am getting my supplies from Chemist warehouse and Discount Chemist. Brands Betamin and Betavit. Unfortunately these only come in 100mg (100 tab for $5 to $9 depending where you buy them) tablets so have to take a handful to get the right dose. I have looked up websites Fruugo Australia, Aussiewell and Swanson Australia. Fruugo say they have Solgar 500mg, 100 tabs for $32.95 plus postage but I haven't tried ordering from them yet as I have a supply of the other brands I mentioned. Hope this helps and best wishes.

Please don't worry to do it if you have too much on your hands. I use a keto diet but it doesn't have all those attractive extras!

No luck, Kuhota. I buy my low dose Thiamine at Dischem but it's not what PwP need. I haven't been diagnosed with PD although I have 2 different kinds of tremors. I joined this group because my husband had PD (he died early this year at age 81). I wanted to help him and people here were so wonderfully supportive that I wanted to keep in touch.

At the moment I am taking 800mg (8 tablets) a day, slowly working up to 1000mg a day. Will see the effect and go from there. Will try the iherb site as mentioned by kurtpeters. I really should contact the Dr to see if I am on the right path.

I'm from Canada . Got mine from Amazon but they're harder to swollow than the ones from vita cost ( I think Roy pro mentioned that.) But vita cost doesn't deliver to Canada . Any ideas? Anyone from Canada have suggestions ?

Maybe it's just placebo but I have been taking the ordinary B1 from the supermarket and it seems to be helping with relaxing my tense left leg. I'm not sure what the difference is.

I've also emailed a bulk vit supplier to see if they ship to Australia. I'll let you know.

That is Solgar 500mg Thiamine. By the look on the label I think they are tablets, not capsules, so they will be harder to take I think. I would have preferred the easy swallow capsules, but we'll see how we go.

I ordered 3 bottles and the total cost was AU$59.90.

I'm in Perth WA and have ordered Thiamine. HCL from iherb Solgar 500mg /100 tablets approx $20 . The tabs are big and you have to take them with yougurt or something similar but my Physio told me a good way to help swallow pills is rather then throw your head back , is to put your head down with your chin on your chest your throat muscles are stronger in that position simple but it really works
