Hi Marion

I have purchased thiamine hcl powder I'm taking 1/2 teaspoon two times a day

I'm unsure how many grams in a teaspoon of the powder

Does anyone know?

Hi Ryan I also take the powder. I measured out a flat half teaspoon and it weighs 2 grams.

Hi Jacstar

Thank you that means 1/2 teaspoon twice a day is correct dosage is that right?

That’s right. I add my morning dose to mannitol and 100% coconut water. Still tastes awful, but worth it.

I add my mannitol to a cacao, milk honey and banana smoothie

My teaspoon scale says one teaspoon is two grams which is what the package says also

Ok well I could try increasing to 3/4 and see how I go

Have you experienced improvement?

How long since you started on B1?

Only for a couple of weeks and I had to cut back to 2 G a day

This important bit of information is your key to converting grams into teaspoons. Four grams of sugar is equal to one teaspoon. To be precise, 4.2 grams equals a teaspoon, but the nutrition facts rounds this number down to four grams 😄

Ok thank you going ok with the 2 X 1/2 teaspoons so will stick to that 😊

1953Bulllard, pls be carefull as a teaspoon is actually 4 grams.

It depends. One unit is about weight, one is about volume. I use a scale. Your powder may be more condensed than mine

What is the thiamin or should say the dr, C protocol ?

in reply to Pittgirl

This is the standard to go by:

11/19/2017

Dear Roy,

Sorry for my late, but unfortunately I can not speak English well, so it's Dr Erika Trevi who is writing these emails to you.

We don't use benfothiamine because previous trials report it does not enter in the neural cells, that's why it is not used for the diseases which don't affect the Central Nervous System (Bettendorff L.).We administer thiamine cloridrate. For your situation 1 intramuscular injection twice a week (or an oral dose of 4 grams each day, two tablets in the morning and two at lunch time) should bring to the complete regression of the symptoms in 1 or 2 months. As an attached link, you'll find a paper with the possible thiamine side effects.

In another email, I'll send you all my published studies.

Best regards,

Antonio Costantini
